The K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) formerly known as K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research (SIMSR) is a private business school located in Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
It offers a range of MBA study programmes including ones which specialise in particular areas such as healthcare management, executive program and sports management. It also facilitates online study programmes for those in employment as well as the possibility of taking a PhD in management.
Sion is a neighbourhood of Mumbai. In the 17th century the village formed the boundary between Mumbai and Salsette Island. The British named it marking the end of the city. The name remained even after Mumbai was joined to the Salsette and extended up to Mulund. One of the local historical places in Sion is a hilltop garden commonly known as Sion Fort or Sheevon Killa in the Marathi language.
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is a public business school located in Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE) was established in 1983 as a college affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college received autonomous status in 2014 and since 2019 the college is affiliated to Somaiya Vidyavihar University. It offers 4 year bachelor's degree engineering courses, 2 year postgraduate programmes and runs Ph.D research centres in various disciplines. KJSCE is situated in Somaiya Vidyavihar University campus which is spread across approximately 65 acres of posh land. Earlier it was also one of the only 7 autonomous engineering colleges in Mumbai.
