K. M. Venkatramaiah (April 4, 1912 - January 31, 1994 [1] ) was a Tamil and saivaite scholar.
He was born in Karapakkam near Poonamallee. His mother tongue was Telugu. Because of his interest in Tamil he pass B.O.L in Tamil. He completed masters in English.
Hearing one of his Tamil lectures he was offered the post of Principal at Tirupanandal College run by Thiruppanandal Adheenam. [2] In 1981 he was head of the Department in Tamil University in Thanjavur. Later he worked at Dravidian Linguistics Association. Though he was born in Vaishnava family he was having subject knowledge in shaivism. During the 2012 All India conference of Dravidian linguists, a prize was announced in the name of K.M. Venkatramaiah with Rupees 3000/- as cash prize. [3]
He has written many books in Tamil and English. His works were nationalised by the Government of Tamil Nadu by paying fifteen lakhs as compensation to his heirs. [4]
On 31 January 1994 he met with an accident and was taken to hospital but died on that day. [1] His son M. V. Pasupathi is also a Tamil Scholar and professor in Tamil. [5]
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the state of Tamil Nadu and union territory of Puducherry. It is a Dravidian party founded by former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.) at Madurai on 17 October 1972 as a breakaway faction from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam after M. Karunanidhi expelled him from the party for asking for accounts as party treasurer. The party is adhering to the socio-democratic and social justice principles based on C. N. Annadurai collectively coined as Annaism by M.G.R. The party has won a seven-time majority in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the main opposition party in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and part of the India-ruling National Democratic Alliance.
Muthuvel Karunanidhi was an Indian writer and politician who served as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for almost two decades over five terms between 1969 and 2011. He was popularly referred to as Kalaignar (Artist) and Mutthamizh Arignar for his contributions to Tamil literature. He had the longest tenure as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu with 6,863 days in office. He was also a long-standing leader of the Dravidian movement and ten-time president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam political party. Karunanidhi has the record of never losing an election to the Tamil Nadu Assembly, having won 13 times since his first victory in 1957. Before entering politics, he worked in the Tamil film industry as a screenwriter. He also made contributions to Tamil literature, having written stories, plays, novels, and a multiple-volume memoir. Karunanidhi died on 7 August 2018 at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai after a series of prolonged, age-related illnesses.
Loyola College is a private Catholic higher education institution run by the Society of Jesus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1925 by the French Jesuit priest, Francis Bertram, along with other European Jesuits. It is an autonomous Jesuit college affiliated with the University of Madras. Loyola commerce association celebrated its 75th year in 2019. Loyola college has more than 8000 students studying as of 2021.
Presidency College is an art, commerce, and science college in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. On 16 October 1840, this school was established as the Madras Preparatory School before being repurposed as a high school, and then a graduate college. The Presidency College is one of the oldest government arts colleges in India. S. Madhavan was an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from the Thirukoshtiyur constituency in the 1962 election, from the Tiruppattur constituency in 1967 and 1971, and as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 1984 election.

Radha and the uncle of Vasu Vikram and half-brother of Raadhika. He is a former chief member of the Tamil Nadu Film Artistes' Association. He is known for his roles as antagonists in Tamil films and a he acted in the serial Chellamae. He is also known for his controversial criticism of other film personalities.

The Deccani film industry, also known as Dollywood is the Deccani language/Hyderabadi Urdu film industry based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The films have gained popularity not only in the Deccan region of India, but as well as other Hindi/Urdu speaking areas of the world. The films are produced in the Deccani language, an Indo-Aryan Dravidian Hindustani tongue spoken in Southern India, and more specifically, in Hyderabadi Urdu, while some films incorporate standard Urdu dialogues as well, especially in its music. Bangalore Venkataramiah Nagarathna is a sitting Judge of Supreme Court of India. She served as a judge of the Karnataka High Court from 2008 to 2021. She is the daughter of former Chief Justice of India, E. S. Venkataramiah.
Alexander Mikhailovitch Dubiansky, also spelt Alexander Dubianskiy, Alexander Dubyanskiy, or Aleksandr Dubiansky, was a Russian Tamil scholar, university professor, linguist, and writer. During his lifetime, he was accredited and acknowledged for his valuable contributions towards the revival of Tamil language scholarship in Russia, especially after the downfall of Soviet Union.
