Government Medical College,Kozhikode,also known as Calicut Medical College (CMC),is a school of medicine in Kozhikode in the Indian state of Kerala. The college was established in 1957 as the second medical college in Kerala by DR.A. R. Menon MBBS,FRCH,Minister for Health,EMS ministry. With over 3025 beds,it is currently the largest hospital in India and tenth largest in the world. It is also one of India's largest hospitals by area,covering more than 270 acres of land in the outskirts of Kozhikode city. Formerly affiliated to the University of Calicut,the college is now attached to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry. It is a Dravidian party founded by the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.) at Madurai on 17 October 1972 as a breakaway faction from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam after M. Karunanidhi expelled him from the party for demanding an account as the party treasurer. The party is adhering to the policy of socialism and secularism based on the principles of C. N. Annadurai (Anna) collectively coined as Annaism by M.G.R. The party has won a seven-time majority in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the main opposition party in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
Kannoth Karunakaran,was an Indian politician who served as the fifth chief minister of Kerala in 1977,from 1981 to March 1982,from May 1982 to 1987 and from 1991 to 1995. He is the founder of the Indian National Congress (INC)-led United Democratic Front (UDF) coalition,which has been the main opposition in Kerala since 2016.
Presidency College is an art,commerce,and science college in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu,India. On 16 October 1840,this school was established as the Madras Preparatory School before being repurposed as a high school,and then a graduate college. Pinarayi Vijayan is an Indian politician who is the current Chief Minister of Kerala,serving since 25 May 2016. A member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist),he is the longest-serving secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI(M) (1998–2015). He also served in the government of Kerala as Minister of Electric Power and Co-operatives from 1996 to 1998. Vijayan won a seat in the May 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election as the CPI(M) candidate for Dharmadom constituency and was selected as the leader of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and became the 12th Chief Minister of Kerala. Shivshankar Menon is an Indian diplomat,who served as National Security Adviser of India under Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh. He had previously served as the Foreign Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. Prior to that he was Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan,and Sri Lanka and ambassador to China and Israel. He was the Vice President of Students' Federation of India (SFI) Central committee during 1978 and the youngest President of Kerala State committee of SFI. He served two terms as a member of Kerala State Planning Board.

Kezhekepat Rukmini Menon was an Indian diplomat,and the second woman to be a career diplomat for the Indian Foreign Service. She was also the first female officer to be enrolled at India's National Defence College.
