K. Tamilarasan is an Indian politician and incumbent member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Madurai East Constituency. He represents the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. [1]

Tamilarasan was elected as member of legislative assembly in the year 2011. He secured a total of 99447 votes and defeated rival P. Moorthy of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party.

Tamilarasan was an educated person, as he completed his schooling. After, he worked in his own land before entering politics.

He belongs to an agricultural family of Pathinetangudi village which is in Melur taluk Madurai district. His father's name is S. P. Kasi and his mother name is K. Nallammal. He is married to T. Arasi and he has three children, namely Diwakar, Aarthy, Ragul.

Tamilarasan was elected as Pathinetangudi village panchayat president in the year 1996, and continuously he was elected as panchayat president for the same village in the 2001 and 2006 local body election.

He was named as good field worker by their party members and seniors. By seeing his party works, the party chief selvi J.Jayalalitha elected him as Madurai Puranagar District J.Jayalalitha peravai secretary in 2008, then in 2011 he ran for the first time in assembly election and won with margin of 28000 votes at Madurai East Constituency.

K C Palanisamy is an Indian politician, former Member of Parliament (MP) and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tamil Nadu (TN). A former member of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), he served the Dravidian party founded by former Chief Minister (CM) of Tamil Nadu, M G Ramachandran (MGR) on 17 October 1972. He was born and raised in Chennimalai, Erode District of Tamil Nadu. At the age of 9, K C Palanisamy met MGR and got influenced by the mission and vision of AIADMK. His political career began aged 13. In 1972, he joined AIADMK as a party member. K C Palanisamy was handpicked by former CM of Tamil Nadu, MGR as Deputy District Secretary of AIADMK’s Youth Wing in 1982, at the age of 23. In 1984, he was elected as the party’s youngest Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kangeyam constituency in Thiruppur District. In 1989, K C Palanisamy chosen to contest in Assembly election as Member of Parliament (MP) by Jayalalitha and won with the second highest vote difference Nationally and highest difference in the State.

Subburaman Thirunavukkarasar is an Indian politician. He was the State President of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee till 2 February 2019 and former secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) of the Indian National Congress (INC) party. His introduction to politics in 1977 was facilitated by former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. G. Ramachandran. Ramachandran founded the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 1972 and was facing his first elections for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election in 1977. He identified Thirunavukkarasar, a lawyer by profession, to contest the Aranthangi assembly constituency. Thirunavukkarasar won the seat, aged 27, and was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He continued in that capacity till 1980. Subsequently, he served as Tamil Nadu state minister from 1980 to 1987 in the MGR cabinet, holding portfolios that included Industries, Housing Board, Excise and Handlooms. Later, he became a member of the Lok Sabha – the lower house of the Parliament of India – when he won the erstwhile Pudukottai Lok Sabha constituency. He served as Union Minister of state for shipping and later for telecommunications and information technology.

Ko.Si. Mani was an Indian politician who was the minister for co-operation, statistics and ex-servicemen in the Tamil Nadu state of India between 2006 and 2011 Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) regime. He was instrumental in developing kumbakonam fisheries market and darasuram vegetable market.

He later contested the Ulundurpet assembly constituency from 2021 to 2026 on behalf of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam against DMK and lost by a margin of 5,256 votes and 2.17%.

S. Gunasekaran is an Indian politician and a former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu from Sivaganga constituency.

P. Saravanan is an Indian politician and an actor. He was a former Member of Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu from Thirupparankundram Constituency. He is currently serving as the Joint Secretary of AIADMK State Medical Wing.

Ka. So. Ka. Kannan is an Indian politician who is a Member of Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected from Jayankondam as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 2021. He also served as a Chairman of T.Palur Panchayat Union, Ariyalur district from 2006 to 2011.
