The KAIROS Prize has been awarded to European artists and scholars from the fields of visual and performing arts, music, architecture, design, film, photography, literature and journalism since 2007 [1] by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation in Hamburg. It is endowed with a sum of 75,000 Euro. [2] [3]

The Hanseatic Goethe Prize was a German literary and artistic award, given biennially from 1949 to 2005 to a figure of European stature. The prize money was €25,000. On the occasion of Goethe's 200th birthday, the Freiherr vom Stein Foundation in Hamburg endowed a cultural prize "for important personalities in the intellectual life". The Ernst von Siemens Music Prize is an annual music prize given by the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste on behalf of the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, established in 1972. The foundation was established by Ernst von Siemens (1903–1990) and promotes contemporary music. The prize honors a composer, performer, or musicologist who has made a distinguished contribution to the world of music. In addition to the main prize, other prizes are also given. The total prize money given is currently 3.5 million euros, with the winner of the main prize receiving €250,000. The prize is sometimes known as "the Nobel Prize of music".

Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui Belgian dancer and choreographer

Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is a Belgian-Moroccan dancer and choreographer and director. He has made over 50 choreographic pieces and received two Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production, three Ballet Tanz awards for best choreographer and the KAIROS Prize (2009).

The SWR Symphonieorchester is a radio orchestra affiliated with the Südwestrundfunk public broadcasting network. Formed in 2016, the orchestra is administratively based in Stuttgart. The artistic director of the orchestra is Johannes Bultmann, and the current managing director is Felix Fischer. The orchestra's chief conductor is Teodor Currentzis.

The international Paul Hindemith Prize promotes outstanding contemporary composers within the framework of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (SHMF). The award commemorates the musical pedagogy of Paul Hindemith, who wrote the composition Plöner Musiktag in 1932 on behalf of the Staatliche Bildungsanstalt Plön. The music prize is endowed with €20,000 and goes together with a composition commission. The prize is presented annually by the Hindemith Foundation, the Walter and Käthe Busche Foundation, the Rudolf and Erika Koch Foundation, the Gerhard Trede Foundation, the Franz Wirth Memorial Trust and the Cultural Office of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg since 1990. From 2010 to 2013, the winner was found by a composition competition. The work of the prize winner is to be premiered within the frame of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.

Paula Murrihy is an Irish operatic mezzo-soprano who has made an international career. A member of the Oper Frankfurt, she has appeared also in Europe and the US, including the Metropolitan Opera and the Santa Fe Opera.

The Bach Prize of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has been awarded since 1951, since 1975 every four years. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Johann Sebastian Bach, the prize was founded in 1950 by the Senate and the Hamburg Parliament. The prize is endowed with a total of €10,000. The winners receive a certificate and a bronze medal with the portrait of Schumann, created by the sculptor Gerhard Lichtenfeld.

The Anton Bruckner Prize is the main Culture Prize of the Province of Upper Austria for music. The prize, which is awarded by the Land of Upper Austria, is named after the composer Anton Bruckner, who was cathedral organist in Linz from 1855 to 1868. The award is endowed with 11,000 euros and is presented in a ceremony in Linz.

The Prize of the Christoph and Stephan Kaske Foundation is an annual award for promotion of new music. It was founded in 1988 by Karlheinz and Christiane Kaske in memory of their sons Christoph and Stephan. The Christoph and Stephan Kaske Foundation has its legal seat in Munich. The aim is to promote young, promising interpreters and composers in the field of new music. The award is endowed with € 10,000. The selection of the winner is made by a board of trustees. The prize is awarded in a ceremony at the Künstlerhaus am Lenbachplatz.
