History

In 2010, the company made its debut at ICAI’s Annual Corporate Forum in Mumbai to showcase the use of technology in compliance. [2] In later years, it became an active participant in national forums on taxation including National Conference on GST organized by ASSOCHAM [3] , and several taxation summits [4] [5] .

In 2014, the company was acquired by Intuit Inc., a US-based financial software company. [6] [7] [8] [9] The acquisition resulted in the integration of KDK’s tax compliance solutions with Intuit’s QuickBooks accounting software for the Indian market. [10] In 2017, the company launched a nationwide helpline to address GST-related queries, [11] responding to the uncertainty surrounding the introduction of the new tax system in India. [12] Later, in 2021, the company launched a software for GST compliance. [13]

Partnerships and collaborations

KDK Software has entered into a few collaborations and partnerships, including a 2020 empanelment with ICAI to offer a Tax Deducted at Source compliance software to its members, [14] [15] and a 2022 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP) to provide a GST compliance software. [16] That same year, the company also participated in ICAI’s benefit schemes, offering GST, and annual return filing solutions. [17]
