KES College is a private higher education institution based in Nicosia, Cyprus. It was founded in 1971 and is among the earlier vocationally oriented colleges operating in the country. [1]
KES College began its operations in 1971 by offering studies in office administration. During the 1970s and 1980s the institution gradually expanded its curriculum to include programmes in journalism, public relations and aesthetics. Further academic fields were introduced during the 1990s and 2000s, including culinary arts, programmes related to the medical representative profession and pharmacy technician studies. [2]
The institution offers a range of diploma, higher diploma, bachelor's and master's programmes. Its academic activity is organised into several areas of study, including health-related programmes, culinary and hospitality studies, journalism and media, business and administrative studies, and environmental studies. Each field includes a combination of theoretical instruction and practical training, depending on the requirements of the subject matter. [3]
KES College states that its programmes are registered with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth (Cyprus) and accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA). [1] Students may be eligible for state financial support under the applicable criteria of the Republic of Cyprus. [4]
The college is located in central Nicosia. Its teaching environment includes classrooms, laboratories and other facilities used for practical training. It enrols both domestic and international students. Various academic and extracurricular activities are organised throughout the year depending on the programme requirements and institutional calendar. [5]
KES College maintains a small research presence through the KES Research Centre, established in 2019. The centre is registered with the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation. [6]
