Kaan Tayla (born February 17, 1986) is an olympic freestyle swimmer from Turkey. [1] He graduated from VirginiaTech, USA. [2]

Tayla represented Turkey in the 50m and 100m freestyle events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

He is holder of the national record in the 50m freestyle event with 22.37 set on July 14, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He shares another national record in 4×50 m freestyle relay with 1:28.97 set at the 2009 European Short Course Swimming Championships held in Istanbul, Turkey. [3]

Virdhawal Vikram Khade is an Indian swimmer. He competed in the men's 50, 100, and 200 meters Freestyle swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, setting an Indian national record in 100 meters Freestyle. He failed to qualify for the semifinals in his events despite winning his qualification heat. Khade won a bronze medal in the 50 meters butterfly event at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou; it was India's first Asian Games medal in swimming in 24 years. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in 2011 by the Government of India.

The United States Swimming National Championships are held annually, in summer. The event is organized by USA Swimming, and is held in a long course (50m) pool. In the past, and as recently as 2007, there were 2 meets annually: a Spring and a Summer Nationals. The Spring meet began as a 25-yard meet, while the Summer meet was long course. Prior to USA Swimming's creation in the late 1970s, the meet was run by the AAU.

Burcu Dolunay is a Turkish female swimmer competing in the freestyle events. The 1.74 m tall sportswoman at 63 kg (139 lb) is a member of Galatasaray Swimming team since 2006. She studied at Istanbul University. Dolunay is holder of several national records in freestyle.

Mindaugas Sadauskas is a Lithuanian swimmer who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a multiple-time Lithuanian champion, who represented his country at the FINA World Championships, LEN European Championships and other international competition. Sadauskas also represented Lithuania at the London Olympic Games in 2012. He has seven national level records at the moment. Sadauskas is also a member of the swimming team for SMU Mustangs at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Sadauskas achieved multiple gold medals at the Conference USA while studying at the SMU.

Yoris Grandjean is a Belgian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He won two gold medals at the 2006 FINA Youth World Swimming Championships, and later represented Belgium at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Since 2009, he still currently holds a Belgian record (22.13) in the 50 m freestyle from the national championships in Antwerp. Grandjean also trains for Liège Swimming Club under his head coach Andre Henvaux.
