Kaarel Nurmsalu (born April 30, 1991) is an Estonian former ski jumper and nordic combined skier. [1]

He won 3 individual bronze medals at the 2011 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Otepää. [2]

He holds the national record of Estonia in ski-flying with 213 m.

In June 2014, Nurmsalu announced his retirement from competitive sports, citing lack of funds as the reason behind the decision. [3]

On 11 January 2017, Nurmsalu announced on his Facebook page that he would be returning to active competition starting with the World Cup event in Wisła on 13 January 2017. However, health issues prompted him to end his career for a second time in June 2017.

Petter Northug Jr. is a Norwegian former cross-country skier and double Olympic champion. He won a total of 13 World Championship and two Winter Olympic gold medals with 20 medals overall, and 18 individual FIS Cross-Country World Cup wins with 13 podium places. He is also the record holder for most stage wins (13) in Tour de Ski. By winning his ninth gold medal in the Nordic World Ski Championships in 4 × 10 km relay in Val di Fiemme 2013 he leveled the achievement of Bjørn Dæhlie who had been the most successful World Champion male skier up to that point. He is considered by many as the greatest cross country skier of all time.

Håvard Klemetsen Norwegian Nordic combined skier

Håvard Klemetsen is a Norwegian former Nordic combined skier who has competed since 2002, representing Kautokeino I.L. He debuted in the World Cup in 2003. He has four 4 x 5 km team medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in 2005 and bronze in 2007 and twice in 2011. Klemetsen also finished 20th in the 15 km individual event at the 2005 championships.
