Kacy Andrews (born February 27, 1969) is an American film producer and CEO of Bigfoot Entertainment.

Education

Kacy graduated cum laude from Ball State University in 1991 with a degree in telecommunications and continuing studies at the American Film Institute. In 2000, she was awarded Ball States University's Graduate of the Last Decade. [1]

Career

Hyperion

Kacy spent nine years in production and project development at Hyperion. [2] She moved from position of production assistant to operations manager, assistant to the co-owner, writer, director and associate producer. [3] She has worked on various feature films, television series, theater and animation, including as associate producer on Miramax's Playing by Heart starring Sean Connery and Angelina Jolie. [4] Her projects includes films and shows that starred such actors as Louie Anderson (Life with Louie), Linda Cardellini (Bone Chillers), and other projects like HBO's Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child (with stars like Denzel Washington and Whoopi Goldberg) and the Oz Kids (with Jonathan Taylor Thomas). Bigfoot Entertainment

In 2003 her consulting work at Bigfoot Productions in Asia led to the creation of the Bigfoot Entertainment and the International Academy of Film and Television with founder Michael Gleissner. [6] The company is located in Cebu, Philippines with offices and additional schools in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. In October 2010, they purchased the facilities of Majestic Crest Theatre in Westwood, California as a venue to showcase their films. [7] [8] In November 2010, Kacy leads the launching of Bigfoot Ascendant Distribution (formerly Ascendant Pictures) which will be the foreign and domestic sales arm of Bigfoot. [9]

As CEO of Bigfoot Entertainment Kacy has produced films such as The Curiosity of Chance, [10] Irreversi [11] (Estella Warren), Midnight Movie, Within, Hui Lu, The Girl With No Number and Deep Gold (Bebe Pham). She has also produced documentaries, 9000 Needles and USS Cooper: Return to Ormoc Bay as well as reality series' Hollywood Boot Camp.

Tropical Storm Thelma, known in the Philippines as Tropical Storm Uring, was one of the deadliest tropical cyclones in Philippine history, killing at least 5,081 people. Forming out of a tropical disturbance on November 1, 1991, several hundred kilometers north-northeast of Palau, the depression that would become Thelma tracked generally westward. After turning southwestward in response to a cold front, the system intensified into a tropical storm on November 4 as it approached the Philippines. Hours before moving over the Visayas, Thelma attained its peak intensity with estimated ten-minute sustained winds of 75 km/h (45 mph) and a barometric pressure of 992 mbar. Despite moving over land, the system weakened only slightly, emerging over the South China Sea on November 6 while retaining gale-force winds. Thelma ultimately succumbed to wind shear and degraded to a tropical depression. On November 8, the depression made landfall in Southern Vietnam before dissipating hours later.

<i>The Legend of Boggy Creek</i> 1972 American docudrama horror film


The Legend of Boggy Creek is a docudrama horror film about the "Fouke Monster," a Bigfoot-type creature reportedly seen in and around Fouke, Arkansas, since the 1940s. The film combines staged interviews with local residents who claim to have encountered the creature, along with reenactments of these encounters. Director and producer Charles B. Pierce, an advertising salesman, secured funding from a local trucking company and hired local high school students to help complete the film. Made on a budget of $160,000, the film was released theatrically on August 8, 1972. In 2019, a remastered version premiered after Pamula Pierce Barcelou, Pierce's daughter, acquired the rights to the film.
