Sumbwa is an Eastern Bantu language, classified as F.23 by Malcolm Guthrie (1948). According to this classification, the language is assumed to be related to Kinyamwezi, Kisukuma, Kinilamba, Kirimi and other languages of Zone F (Guthrie 1948; 1967-71, although Nurse and Philippson 1980 and Maselle suggested that the language has had much influence from neighbouring languages. Kahama Rural District District in Shinyanga Region, Tanzania

Kahama Rural District is one of the five districts of the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the town of Kahama. The district consists of two separate parts, divided by Kahama Urban District. The area to the northeast is Msalala Council, while the part to the southwest is Ushetu Council.

Kahama Airstrip

The Kahama Airstrip is an airstrip operated by Buzwagi Gold Mine. The airport is located in Kahama in the Shinyanga Region. The airport is currently used for mine operations and is used by charter companies, however, Precision Air plans to begin scheduled service to Kahama soon.
