Kai Ellis (born August 7, 1980) is an American professional football coach who is the defensive line coach for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a former defensive end who played for eight seasons in the CFL for the Calgary Stampeders, Ottawa Renegades, Montreal Alouettes, and Edmonton Eskimos. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2003. He played collegiately at Washington.
On January 31, 2025, it was announced that Ellis had joined the coaching staff of the Ottawa Redblacks as the team's defensive line coach. [1]
Bryan Chiu is the former offensive line coach for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and current head coach of Vancouver College. He was a professional Canadian football centre for the Montreal Alouettes from 1997 to 2009. He has also served as the offensive line coach for the Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa Redblacks. Bryan was inducted into the BC Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
Mark Washington is an American football coach and former professional football player who was most recently the defensive coordinator for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played at defensive back in the CFL, having played for the Montreal Alouettes and the BC Lions over 11 seasons. He was the Calgary Stampeders' defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2013 and was also an assistant coach with the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He then served as the head coach for the Ottawa Redblacks for six seasons and for the BC Lions for four seasons. He is a three-time Grey Cup champion, once as the special teams coordinator with the Eskimos in 2003, again with the Eskimos as the defensive coordinator in 2005, and once as the head coach of the Redblacks in 2016. He attended Washington State University.
Cleyon Laing is a Canadian professional football defensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2012 CFL Draft. Laing is a four-time CFL East Division All-Star and a two-time Grey Cup champion, having won with Ottawa in 2016 and then with Toronto in 2017.
