The Kalida Local School District is a school district in Kalida, Putnam County, Ohio.
Karl Lammers is the superintendent of the Kalida Local School District.
Kalida High School (KHS), part of Kalida Local School District, has a strong tradition of academic, athletic, and artistic success. In 2003 they were selected as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. They have also received the Ohio Department of Education Excellent rating the past 6 years. Kalida earned the highest scores on the Ohio Graduation Test out of Putnam County, besides Pandora-Gilboa which scored higher, and all of the surrounding counties. All of these accomplishments represent their high academic standards.

Putnam County is a county located in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 34,451. Its county seat is Ottawa. The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1834. Its name is in honor of Israel Putnam, a colonial hero in the French and Indian War, who served as a general in the American Revolutionary War. The Blanchard River, which passes through the county, was a key transportation route for early European-American settlers.

Pandora-Gilboa High School is a state technology prototype public high school centered in Pandora, Ohio. It is the only high school and school in the Pandora-Gilboa Local School district. The district serves students from Pandora, Gilboa, and parts of Riley, Blanchard, and Pleasant townships in Putnam County. In 2015, Pandora-Gilboa was recognized on the list of the top 50 schools in the country at preparing students of any income level for higher education from anywhere to a technical school to the best of the Ivy Leagues such as Harvard University.

State Route 114 (SR 114) is a 32.99-mile (53.09 km) state route that runs between the Indiana state line and Kalida in the US state of Ohio. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both farmland and residential properties. The highway was first signed in 1923 on much the same alignment as today. SR 114 was extended to its current eastern terminus in Kalida in 1926. The route was paved in three sections with the first completed in 1932 and the last one completed in 1939.
