Kamaosi Village is a small village in the south eastern end of Santa Isabel Island, Isabel Province, Solomon Islands. It is close to Gululu. It contains one of the two high schools on the island, Sir Dudley Tuti College.

Sir Dudley Tuti College

The school composes a large part of the village. Prior to 1999, the school was the village and shared the same name. It was renamed after the late Sir Dudley Tuti, [2] then chief of the island. [3] The school has an enrollment of 500. [4]

Russell Islands two small islands in the Central Province of Solomon Islands

The Russell Islands are two small islands, as well as several islets, of volcanic origin, in the Central Province of Solomon Islands. They are located approximately 48 kilometres northwest of Guadalcanal. The islands are partially covered in coconut plantations, and have a copra and oil factory at Yandina. Yandina also has basic services, including a store, post office, and airport.

British Solomon Islands former territory

The British Solomon Islands Protectorate was first declared over the southern Solomons in 1893, when Captain Gibson R.N., of HMS Curacoa, declared the southern islands a British Protectorate. Other islands were subsequently declared to form part of the Protectorate over a period ending in 1900.

Buala is a town in Solomon Islands located on Santa Isabel Island, which is the longest island in Solomon Islands. Buala consists of Jejevo station and Buala Village. Buala is located on a side of a hill so there is no place for the town to expand, new feeder roads have been continuously developed to the east and western ends of the township. One of these roads reached as far as Hovokiolo village in the west Maringe district. Kubolota, Tithiro, and Maglau are villages close to this small town. Higher up inland, are Tirotogna, Bara, Gurena and Kolokofa. People from these villages also frequent Buala town.

Honiara is the capital city of Solomon Islands, situated on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal. As of 2017, it had a population of 84,520 people.

Sir David Okete Vuvuiri Vunagi, is a retired Solomon Islands Anglican bishop and incumbent Governor-General of Solomon Islands. He was the Archbishop of Melanesia and Bishop of the Diocese of Central Melanesia, from 2009 to 2015. He is married and has three children.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) Solomon Islands Campus is a satellite campus of the University of the South Pacific, based in Honiara, Solomon Islands; apart from the Honiara Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (SICHE) a university in Honiara; and the Woodford International School. The University of the South Pacific campus is located near Chinatown, about 75 metres (246 ft) to the southwest of Lawson Tama Stadium. It offers continuing and community education courses to the South Pacific member countries. Some of the major disciplines in which courses are offered on semester basis are Arts, Law and Education, Business and Economics, Science, Technology and Environment and other disciplines with a gamut of subjects in each discipline. The duration of courses varies from 10 to 32 hours of teaching spread over a number of weeks. Subjects taught based on regional requirements could be in the fields of "computer skills, languages, bookkeeping, mathematics, business studies, economics, creative writing, community development skills, literature, handicrafts, floral arts, fabric arts, woodcarving, fine arts, carving, poetry, music, video production, leadership skills, health studies, public speaking, problem-solving and general literacy skills.” An important programme that is advocated in the USP is to establish an education programme "through distance and flexible learning”, which the relevant texts to learn and teach are prepared in the Laucala Campus in Fiji and adopted in the campuses of all the USP universities across the South Pacific.

Judiciary of Solomon Islands

The judiciary of Solomon Islands is a branch of the Government of Solomon Islands that interprets and applies the laws of Solomon Islands, to ensure equal justice under law, and to provide a mechanism for dispute resolution. The legal system is derived from chapter VII, part II of the Constitution, adopted when the country became independent from the United Kingdom in 1978. The Constitution provided for the creation of a High Court, with original jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases, and a Court of Appeal. It also provided for the possibility of "subordinate courts", with no further specification (art.84).

Mahige is a small islet in Isabel Province of the Solomon Islands. The islet is located off the south-east tip of Santa Isabel Island.

Dudley Tuti, KBE (1919-2006) was the inaugural Bishop of Ysabel, one of the eight dioceses that make up the Anglican Church of Melanesia.
