Kambili [a] is a fictional character and the protagonist of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 2003 novel, Purple Hibiscus . [1]
Grisham describes Kambili as "a 15 year-old African girl who lives with her mother, brother, and father, Eugene." And would later assert that "her father plays a dominant role in her life, plans her schedule down to every last minute, and demands absolute adherence to his extreme rules of Catholicism." [2]
