Kameraflage is a patented (US Patent #8,531,308) context-sensitive display technology developed by Connor Dickie.
It adds a second camera-specific layer of information to scenes which are invisible to the human eye, but will register in the silicon chips found in digital cameras. Since digital cameras receive a broader spectrum of light than human eyes, the technology is invisible to the naked eye. One example of its use is subtitling in films: the subtitles can be rendered viewable only when using the viewfinder of a digital camera, allowing the subtitles to be optionally viewed by the audience.
The technology was demonstrated at the 2006 Paris Fashion Week, worn by model Anina. It was also shown at the 2007 ACM SIGGRAPH Unravel fashion show in San Diego, California, and at the 2011 CES Technology Fashion show.

Chroma key compositing, or chroma keying, is a visual-effects and post-production technique for compositing (layering) two or more images or video streams together based on colour hues. The technique has been used in many fields to remove a background from the subject of a photo or video – particularly the newscasting, motion picture, and video game industries. A colour range in the foreground footage is made transparent, allowing separately filmed background footage or a static image to be inserted into the scene. The chroma keying technique is commonly used in video production and post-production. This technique is also referred to as colour keying, colour-separation overlay, or by various terms for specific colour-related variants such as green screen or blue screen; chroma keying can be done with backgrounds of any colour that are uniform and distinct, but green and blue backgrounds are more commonly used because they differ most distinctly in hue from any human skin colour. No part of the subject being filmed or photographed may duplicate the colour used as the backing, or the part may be erroneously identified as part of the backing.
Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated 3D content. The content can span multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory. DX encoding is an ANSI and I3A standard, originally introduced by Kodak in March 1983, for marking 135 and APS photographic film and film cartridges. It consists of several parts, a latent image DX film edge barcode on the film below the sprocket holes, a code on the cartridge used by automatic cameras, and a barcode on the cartridge read by photo-finishing machines.

FX Palo Alto Laboratory, Inc. (FXPAL) was a research lab for Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd. FXPAL employed roughly 40 people, including 25 Ph.D. research scientists. In addition, FXPAL had a strong intern program with 10 summer interns each year from universities worldwide and as well as visiting researchers from Fuji Xerox Japan. There were three primary research areas: Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Focus in IoT was on augmented reality and localization, in AI on text and image analysis and in HCI on visualization and interaction. A particular strength of FXPAL was the collaboration among researchers in these different areas, as well as with artists, designers and other non-academic employees.

Pigeon photography is an aerial photography technique invented in 1907 by the German apothecary Julius Neubronner, who also used pigeons to deliver medications. A homing pigeon was fitted with an aluminium breast harness to which a lightweight time-delayed miniature camera could be attached. Neubronner's German patent application was initially rejected, but was granted in December 1908 after he produced authenticated photographs taken by his pigeons. He publicized the technique at the 1909 Dresden International Photographic Exhibition, and sold some images as postcards at the Frankfurt International Aviation Exhibition and at the 1910 and 1911 Paris Air Shows.
