An advocate is a professional in the field of law. Different countries' legal systems use the term with somewhat differing meanings. The broad equivalent in many English law–based jurisdictions could be a barrister or a solicitor. However,in Scottish,Manx,South African,Italian,French,Spanish,Portuguese,Scandinavian,Polish,Israeli,South Asian and South American jurisdictions,"advocate" indicates a lawyer of superior classification.

Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He served as the 37th Governor of Punjab from 2011 to 2013. Mohammad Anwer Khan Durrani was a Pakistani politician,lawyer and Senator and a very famous Khan of Popalzai sub clan of Durrani Pashtun tribe in Balochistan.

The Balochistan Bar Council is a statutory &deliberative assembly of lawyers in Balochistan for safeguarding the rights,interests and privileges of practicing lawyers,within Balochistan province of Pakistan. The Council also regulates the conduct of lawyers and helps in the administration of justice. Chaudhry Ejaz Yousaf is a Pakistani retired judge and lawyer who served as the 10th chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court from 9 May 2003 to 8 May 2006.
