Kandani Baloch is a Baloch tribe living in Southern Punjab. [1] [2] They are of Rind origin. They mainly live in Bhakkar, Layyah and Muzaffargarh District. Most of them speak Saraiki. [3] [4]

Despite their Near Eastern origin, at present, the tribe is largely settled in Karachi, and interior Sindh with significant numbers in Balochistan as well as Punjab.

Talpur is a Sindhi speaking Baloch tribe settled in Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan in Pakistan. The tribe established the Talpur dynasty, which ruled between 1783-1843, while a branch of the dynasty ruled until 1955 as the Khairpur princely state.

The Khanate of Kalat was a princely state that existed from 1666 to 1955 in the centre of the modern-day province of Balochistan, Pakistan. Prior to that they were subjects of Mughal emperor Akbar. Ahmedzai Baloch and Brahui Khan ruled the state independently until 1839, when it became a self-governing state in a subsidiary alliance with British India. After the signature of the Treaty of Mastung by the Khan of Kalat and the Baloch Sardars in 1876, Kalat became part of the Baluchistan Agency. It was briefly independent from 12 August 1947 until 27 March 1948, when the Khan acceded his state to the new Dominion of Pakistan. It remained a princely state of Pakistan until 1955, when it was incorporated into the country.

The Balochistan Liberation Army, also known as the Baloch Liberation Army is a militant organization based in Afghanistan. The BLA is listed as a terrorist organization by Pakistan, United Kingdom and the United States. Since 2004 the BLA has waged a violent armed struggle against Pakistan for what it claims as self-determination for the Baloch people and separation of Balochistan from Pakistan and has been involved in ethnic-cleansing of non-Baloch minorities in Balochistan. The BLA is operating mainly in Balochistan, the largest province of Pakistan where it carries out attacks against the Pakistan Armed Forces, civilians and foreign nationals. Brahumdagh Bugti is the founder and leader of the Political Organisation Baloch Republican Party, a Baloch nationalist group which broke away from his uncle Talal Akbar Bugti's Jamhoori Wattan Party in 2008. Mugheri are a social group descended from Arabs, however, in Pakistan they are considered to be Baloch. As per research, Mugheri are descended from an Arab Field Marshal called Mughera Bin Zaid Bin Hatim, who was appointed as a Field Marshal for Sindh by his elder brother and famous Governor of Sindh during Abbasid Caliphate named Daud Bin Zaid Bin Hatim. Daud was appointed as a Governor of Sindh in 800AD by Caliph Haroon-ur-Rashid (786-809). Governor Daud Bin Zaid Bin Hatim governed Sindh for the longest period of nine years and later his son Bashar Bin Daud Bin Hatim became the next successor Governor of Sindh during the caliphate of Mamoon-ur-Rashid. Additionally, the Mughera tribe was at the climax because they ran their business, trade, affairs and matters effectively and were considered as wealthy tribe under the Abbasid Caliphate. The Chhalgari or Chhalgri is a sub-tribe of Marri found in Sindh and Balochistan, divided into two groups, Jhanda khail and wadera khail. The leader of both the clans is Mir Ismail Khan, son of Mir Jhanda Khan. The Jhanda Khail and Wadera Khail are located in Kachhi region. They are considered to be the only clan that have never been involved in wars within Balochs.

Noora Mengal Urdu was a Baloch freedom fighter of Jhalawan (southern) Balochistan, Pakistan who continuously fought against British dominance for nine years. His full name was Noor Muhammad Pahlwanzai Mengal. He was head of Pahlwanzai subcaste of Mengal tribe of Pallimas Valley Wadh District Khuzdar Balochistan.
