The John Brownlee sex scandal occurred in 1934 in Alberta,Canada,and forced the resignation of the provincial Premier,John Edward Brownlee. Brownlee was accused of seducing Vivian MacMillan,a family friend and a secretary for Brownlee's attorney-general in 1930,when she was 18 years old,and continuing the affair for three years. MacMillan claimed that the married premier had told her that she must have sex with him for his own sake and that of his invalid wife. She had,she testified,relented after physical and emotional pressure. Brownlee called her story a fabrication,and suggested that it was the result of a conspiracy by MacMillan,her would-be fiancé,and several of Brownlee's political opponents in the Alberta Liberal Party.

Taitz also promotes other conspiracy theories both related and unrelated to Obama. Susan Kay Mosier,M.D. is the former Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. On November 13,2014,Kansas Governor Sam Brownback named Dr. Mosier as the Interim Secretary,replacing Dr. Robert Moser,who stepped down at the end of November. Mosier was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives,representing the 67th district. Her term began in 2011 and she resigned her seat,effective February 1,2012,to accept the position director of Medicaid in the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Delphine Allen et al. v. City of Oakland was a civil rights lawsuit in Federal District Court regarding police misconduct in Oakland,California which has resulted in ongoing Federal oversight. Plaintiffs alleged mistreatment at the hands of four veteran officers,known as the "Riders",who were alleged to have kidnapped,planted evidence,and beaten citizens. Plaintiffs also alleged that the Oakland Police Department (OPD) turned a blind eye to police misconduct.
Same-sex marriage in Kansas became legal following the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges on June 26,2015,which found the denial of marriage rights to same-sex couples unconstitutional. By June 30,all 31 judicial districts and all 105 Kansas counties were issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples or had agreed to do so. Kansas state agencies initially delayed recognition of same-sex marriages for purposes including but not limited to changing names,ascribing health benefits and filing joint tax returns,but began doing so on July 6.

Bush administration for their alleged involvement in premeditating and carrying out the Iraq War. In December 2014,the district court hearing the case ordered it dismissed with prejudice. The dismissal was affirmed by the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.

Jane Doe v. Trump (1:17-cv-01597-CKK) was a lawsuit filed on August 9,2017 and decided January 4,2019 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The suit sought to block Donald Trump and top Pentagon officials from implementing the proposed ban on military service for transgender people under the auspices of the equal protection and due process clauses of the Fifth Amendment. The court ruled that the Trump administration's policy should not be blocked. Nonetheless,the Trump administration's policy continued to be blocked due to three preliminary injunctions against it that were not part of this lawsuit and which remained in effect as of the lawsuit's conclusion on January 4,2019.
Fish v. Kobach was a 2018 bench trial in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas in which five Kansas residents and the League of Women Voters contested the legality of the Documentary Proof of Citizenship (DPOC) requirement of the Kansas Secure and Fair Elections (SAFE) Act,which was enacted in 2011 and took effect in 2013.
