Robert Van de Walle is a retired Belgian judoka. He was the first judoka to ever compete at five Olympics, from 1976 to 1992. Competing in the half-heavyweight category he won the gold medal in 1980 and a bronze in 1988 at the age of 34. Van de Walle won European titles in 1980, 1985 and 1986. Together with Ingrid Berghmans he was the face of Belgian judo in the late 1970s and 1980s. After retiring from competitions he ran a coaching company together with his wife. He was the head of the Belgian delegation at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In summer 2021, 14 years after obtaining the rank of black belt 8th dan; Van De Walle, currently a member of Judo Club Crossing Schaerbeek, accepted his promotion to 9th dan from the International Judo Federation.

Klaus Glahn is a retired West German judoka who competed at the 1964 and 1972 Olympics. In 1964 he won a bronze medal in the openweight class while representing the United Team of Germany. Eight years later he won a silver medal for West Germany in the heavyweight category. Between 1967 and 1973 Glahn won five medals at World Championships in the heavyweight and open divisions. He also won three European heavyweight titles, in 1963, 1968 and 1970.

Karina Bryant is a British retired elite judoka, who was active in elite senior competition in the 2000s and early 2010s. She represented Great Britain at four successive Olympics between 2000 and 2012, winning her first Olympic medal, a bronze, in the heavyweight event at her final Games, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She was a seven-time medallist at both the European Judo Championships and the World Judo Championships, and was European Champion on four occasions.

Rafael Carlos da Silva is a Brazilian heavyweight judoka. He has two Olympic bronze medals in addition to having 4 individual medals in World Judo Championships, in addition to being a six-time Pan American Judo champion.
Sally Conway is a Scottish retired judoka who competed for Team GB in the 2012 and the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's 70 kg judo event. Conway won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics. She competed for Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where she won a bronze medal at the at women's 70 kg judo event. As of 2024, Conway coaches Sweden's national judo team.
Lukáš Krpálek is a Czech heavyweight judoka. A former world champion, European champion and Olympic Champion. He is the most successful judoka in Czech and Czechoslovak history, and was named Czech Judoka of the Year eight times between 2008 and 2015.
Esther San Miguel Busto is a Spanish judoka. She has won six national titles and two European titles for the half-heavyweight division (78 kg). She is also a bronze medalist at the 2003 World Judo Championships in Osaka, Japan, and has captured a total of twenty-seven World Cup medals, including eight golds. San Miguel is a member of Centro de Alto Rendimiento Madrid Judo Club, and is coached by Sacramento Moyano.
Jeannine Meulemans was Belgium's first great international women's judo champion. She is 10-fold Belgian judo champion who nationally remained unbeaten, including in those contests she fought before weight classes were implemented. Internationally, the only contests she lost were due to injury or doubtful referee action. She is considered as the finest female technical judoka ever produced by Belgian judo. Close to her retirement, she won a bronze medal during the first Women's Judo World Championships in 1980 in New York.
Barbara Matić is a Croatian judoka. She won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's 70 kg event, and is a two-time world champion and a European champion (2024) in the women's 70 kg division. Matić is also a two-time junior world champion and a junior European champion (2013). She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Barbara Claßen was a German judoka. She won the bronze medal in the -72 kg class at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where women's judo appeared as a demonstration sport for the first time. Claßen committed suicide at the age of 32.
Paul Radburn is a British judoka. He competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Rowena Sweatman is a British judoka. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Michaela Polleres is an Austrian judoka. In 2021, she won the silver medal in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Polleres is also a bronze medalist at the 2021 and 2023 World Championships and the 2018 European Championships. She is a third degree black belt.
