Karin Richter is a former speed skater, one of the most dominant of the 1980s. She is a three-time Olympic gold medallist, winning the 500 metres in 1980, the 1000 metres in 1984 and the 1500 metres in 1984. She won a total of eight Olympic medals.

Karin Ingrid Lamberg-Skog is a Swedish former cross-country skier who competed during the 1980s. She won a bronze medal in the 4 × 5 km relay at the 1987 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf and finished 18th in the 10 km event at those championships.
