Karl-Arne Johannessen

Karl-Arne Johannessen (born 30 June 1952) is a Norwegian physician, health administrator and sports official. He was president of the Norwegian Handball Federation from 1999 to 2004, and the Norwegian Olympic Committee and Confederation of Sports from 2004 to 2007. [1]

He was also Norwegian Handball Federation for a second period, from 2009 to 2015. [1]

Rødkleiva is a hill located in Nordmarka in Oslo, Norway. It was taken into use as a slalom hill in 1947 and was used for the combined event of the Holmenkollen Ski Festival eleven times between 1947 and 1963. It hosted the slalom events for the 1952 Winter Olympics, which saw a crowd of at least 25,000 spectators. The Olympic course was 422.5 meters (1,386 ft) long and had a drop of 169 meters (554 ft). The course gradually fell into disrepair and was closed in 1988.

His achievements as coach for the women's club Larvik HK include several victories in the Norwegian League and the Norwegian Cup, and participations in the Women's EHF Champions League. Starting from August 2011 he served as the head coach of the Hungarian women's national team, and since November 2011 he was also in charge of the Hungarian top division side Győri Audi ETO KC.

Arne Zwaig was a Norwegian chess player who held the title of International Master. He won the Norwegian Chess Championship in 1964 and 1969.
