Karl Bryson (born 20 March 1989) is a New Zealand rugby union player who last played for Manawatu in the National Provincial Championship. His position of choice is halfback. [1]

Known by the nickname "Killer", Bryson plays his club rugby for College Old Boys in Palmerston North.

He made his provincial debut in 2010 and continued playing in the main squad until 2013. He has not played since, however Manawatu coach Jeremy Cotter has named Bryson in the Wider Training Squad for 2016. [2] [3]

Family

Bryson's father, Jim, played either as a fullback or wing. He also represented Manawatu, where as a goalkicker he scored 128 points. [4]

Josh Bradnock is a retired New Zealand Super Rugby rugby player. Bradnock captained the Manawatu Turbos in the Air New Zealand Cup. He was one of the top openside flankers in New Zealand rugby. Josh Bradnock was an exciting addition to 2009 Hurricanes squad by adding depth and enthusiasm to the loose forward stocks. However, injury severely limited his first season and eventually forced his early retirement from the game.

Manawatu (National Provincial Championship)

Manawatu are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Palmerston North, New Zealand. The union was originally established in 1886, with the National Provincial Championship established in 1976. They now play in the reformed National Provincial Championship competition. They play their home games at Central Energy Trust Arena in Palmerston North in the Manawatū-Whanganui region. The team is affiliated with the Hurricanes Super Rugby franchise. Their home playing colours are green and white.

Sam Stewart is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays for Canterbury in the National Provincial Championship, having previously played for Manawatu and Southland. His primary playing position is hooker. His twin brother Jordan Stewart also plays rugby for Southland.
