Karl Chandler (born 30 March 1976) is an Australian writer and light entertainer. [1] He co-hosts the popular comedy podcast The Little Dum Dum Club with Tommy Dassalo. [2] [3] [4] [5] Chandler grew up in the small rural Victorian town of Maryborough. He has written for many TV shows, like Hard Quiz , Spicks and Specks , and The Project , and written and been part of the cast for shows like Studio A .

In 2011, Chandler collated and published a book called Funny Buggers: The Best Lines from Australian Stand-up Comedy, a collection of jokes from iconic Australian comedians like as Greg Fleet, Tom Gleeson and Dave O'Neil. [6]

In 2014, Chandler auditioned for Australia's Got Talent, but did not make it past the audition stage. [7] This experience served as the basis of the material for his 2014 comedy hour, Karl Chandler's Got Talent. [8]

Chandler has run many comedy rooms in Melbourne, such as Comedy at Spleen on Monday nights (previously co-run with Steele Saunders), Thursday Comedy Club on Thursday nights, and Basement Comedy Club on Saturday nights.[ citation needed ]

On 2 September 2017, Chandler married his then fiancée Diane, who he had been in a relationship with for 10 years. [9]

He is currently working on pre-production for Phunny Phellas, a comedy program for commercial television audiences.[ citation needed ]

Studio A is an hour-long live variety, comedy and sketch program produced as the RMITV Flagship production between 2008–2011 and was hosted by Dave Thornton and then later Tommy Little. Supporting cast included many up and coming comedians and media personalities including Jess Harris (Twentysomething), Alison Bice, Karl Chandler, Tom Ballard, Tommy Dassalo, Oliver Clarke, Xavier Michaelidies, Teegan Higginbotham, Nick Cody, Nat Harris, Anne Edmonds, Ted Wilson, Luke McGregor and John Campbell. Claudia O'Doherty is an Australian actress, writer, and comedian. She won the 2009 Melbourne Fringe Best Comedy Award and the Brisbane Comedy Festival Award for her debut show Monsters of the Deep 3D. O'Doherty co-wrote the books 100 Facts About Pandas and 100 Facts About Sharks with David O'Doherty and Mike Ahern. She was a main cast member in the Netflix TV series Love.

Tim McDonald is an Australian comedian. He is best known for his regular guest appearances on the Australian comedy news quiz shows Have You Been Paying Attention? and more recently as the co-host of The Cheap Seats with comedian and actress Melanie Bracewell. Both of these series are produced by Working Dog Productions and are a mix of news and comedy. McDonald was named among Radio Today's Top New Talent to Watch in 2019.
