Karl Ottfalk (born 3 January 2006) is a Swedish long distance and cross country runner. In 2024, he became national senior champion over 5000 metres. [1]
He won gold in the 3000 metres at the 2022 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in Slovakia. [2]
In 2023, he won the men's junior race at the Nordic Cross Country Championships. [3] He finished fourth in the men's U20 race at the 2023 European Cross Country Championships in Brussels at the age of 17 years-old. [4]
In June 2024, he became Swedish senior national champion over 5000 metres. [5] In August 2024, he finished sixth at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, in the Men's 3000 metres. [6] He finished ninth in the 5000 metres at the same Championships. [7] [8]
He competed in the U20 race at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Antalya, Turkey. [9]
Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal is a Norwegian middle-, long-distance and steeplechase runner. She is a European Championships gold medallist in half marathon, silver medallist in 5000 metres and bronze medallist in 10,000 metres and 3000 metres steeplechase. Grøvdal is a four-time Olympian and represented Norway at the 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Ebba Kristina Andersson is a Swedish cross-country skier who represents the club Piteå Elit. She has by 2023 three World Championships gold medals. On 22 January 2024, she was awarded the Jerring Award for her 2023 performances.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner who is the current world record holder in the short track 1500 metres, the 2000 metres and the 3000 metres, and holds the world best time over the two mile distance. Ingebrigtsen is a two-time Olympic champion, winning gold medals in the 1500 m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting a then Olympic and European record, and in the 5000 metres at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Selemon Barega Shirtaga is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, silver for the 5,000 metres at the 2019 World Championships in Doha and bronze in the 10,000 metres at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
