Värmland is a landskap in west-central Sweden. It borders Västergötland, Dalsland, Dalarna, Västmanland, and Närke, and is bounded by Norway in the west.

Karl Fredrik Virtanen is a Sweden-Finnish journalist and former columnist for the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the host for the talk show Studio Virtanen on Swedish TV8. He has also hosted radio shows for Sveriges Radio. For Aftonbladet, he was the New York City correspondent, contributing weekly columns about life in the city. He also reported on entertainment, such as the Eurovision Song Contest.

Barnen från Frostmofjället is a 1945 Swedish film, directed by Rolf Husberg. It is based on the novel with the same name by Laura Fitinghoff. The story concerns seven orphans and a goat named Gullspira travelling in northern Sweden during the 1860s. The name of the goat, Gullspira, is now used for the award for the best children's film maker.

Kjell Tommy Christoffer Sundgren is a Swedish curler. He currently plays lead for the Swedish national team, skipped by Niklas Edin. The World Curling Federation's historical records rank Sundgren as one of the most successful curlers of all time, both in the medals that he has received and his lifetime performance in individual championships. He is one of only three curlers in history to have won both the Olympic Gold medal and five World Championship gold medals. In 2022, he surpassed the previous record holders for World Men's Curling Championship medals, winning his fifth gold medal, in addition to his and European Men's Curling Championship, placing him third of all time on both lists behind his teammates Edin and Oskar Eriksson. He also has reached twenty-seven playoffs at Grand Slam of Curling events, including winning three Grand Slam tournaments and the Pinty's Cup as part of Team Niklas Edin, the first non-Canadian men's team to do so. In 2017, Sundgren and his teammates also became the first men's team in history to win four consecutive European Men's Curling Championships. In 2021, he and his teammates became the first men's team in history to win four consecutive World Men's Curling Championships.
Ada Konstantia Nilsson was an early Swedish woman medical doctor. She was one of the founders of the campaigning magazine Tidevarvet in 1923.

Karlstads Curlingklubb is a curling club located in Karlstad, Sweden. It is currently best known as the home club of Team Niklas Edin, which holds a record of winning five World Curling Championship titles and seven European Curling Championship titles. It was also the home club of one of the most successful women's curling teams of all time, skipped by Elisabeth Högström. The team skipped by Högström won Sweden's first women's World Curling Championship gold medal, in addition to two World Curling Championship silver medals and four European Curling Championship gold medals.
Hildur Nygren was a teacher and Swedish politician with the Social Democrats. She was elected as a member to the executive committee of the Gävle city council. She sat in the Riksdag from 1941 to 1952, becoming the second female cabinet minister and the first female minister of education and ecclesiastical affairs in Swedish history.
Karin Margareta Ahrland, née Andersson was a Swedish politician, diplomat, lawyer, and activist. She was a member of the parliament of Sweden (Riksdag) from 1976–1989. She served as the Minister of Health and Social Affairs from 22 May 1981 to 8 October 1982. From 1989 she served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, first as a Consul General in Montreal, Canada from 1990 to 1993, and then as an Ambassador to Wellington, New Zealand from 1993 to 1995.
Karin Kajsa Rothman (1903–1969) was a multilingual activist, journalist and the first Swedish volunteer in the Spanish Civil War. In her youth, she also became widely known as a marathon dancer.
"High and Low" is a song by Swedish singer Tove Styrke from her debut studio album, Tove Styrke (2010). It was released as the album's third single on 25 February 2011 through Sony Music. Styrke wrote the song with Fredrik Berger and Patrik Berger. The song did not enter the Sverigetopplistan singles chart, but peaked at number 31 on the DigiListan download chart.
