Kat Howard is an American author and editor. Her stories have been published in the anthologies Stories (edited by Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio), and Oz Reimagined (based on L. Frank Baum's characters). She is also a contributor to magazines such as Lightspeed, Subterranean, Uncanny Magazine and Apex. [1] [2] She attended the Clarion Writers Workshop in 2008. [3] She is a 2018 recipient of the Alex Awards.

Their works have been published in a number of magazines and anthologies, including various collections of the year's best stories, and have been finalists for the Otherwise, Locus, and Nebula Awards. Some of their early work was published under the name Merc Rustad. They changed their name to Merc Fenn Wolfmoor in 2019.
Jade Legacy is an 2021 fantasy novel by Fonda Lee published by Orbit and the sequel to Jade War, released on November 30, 2021.
