Katalin Nagy (May 5, 1979 in Eger, Hungary) is an ultramarathon runner and member of the USA National 24hr Ultramarathon Team.

IAU 24 Hour World Champion

Nagy first appeared on the ultramarathon scene in 2012 finishing on the podium at the Croom Zoom 50 km Run and winning the 50 mile road run event of the Keys 100 Ultramarathons in Florida. Since then she became the first American female runner to win the IAU 24 Hour World Championship in Turin in April 2015. [1] She also led the US Women’s Team to its third consecutive world championship victory with a record breaking team championship performance of 720.046 km with team mates Traci Falbo and Maggie Guterl. [2]

Ultramarathon career

She took her first major international ultramarathon title at Ultrabalaton, a 212 km run around Lake Balaton, Hungary in 2013. Her victory list also includes the South Carolina 24 Hour Race (2014), the Keys 100 Ultramarathons 100 mile event (2014), two wins at the Desert Solstice 24 Hour Track Run (2014, 2015) and a 246 km Athens to Sparta Spartathlon victory with a record time of 25:07:12 ahead of Alyson Venti and former course record holder Szilvia Lubics. Ryōichi Sekiya is a Japanese ultramarathon and marathon runner from Sagamihara, Kanagawa. He is the current Asian record holder of the 24-hour run with the distance of 274.884 km (170.805 mi), which he achieved in 2007 at Soochow International Ultra-Marathon. He is a four-time IAU 24 Hour World Championship winner, which makes him the athlete with the most wins in the event.

Sumie Inagaki Japanese ultramarathon runner

Sumie Inagaki is a Japanese ultramarathon runner from Hokkaido. Inagaki holds current women's world record in 24-hour run Indoor, and in 48-hour run Track. She is a two time female winner of IAU 24-Hour Run World Championship. She was the female winner of 2006 and 2009 Spartathlon, and the female winner of 2011 and 2012 Badwater Ultramarathon.

Norimi Sakurai is a Japanese ultramarathon runner. Sakurai is the current women's 100 km Track world record holder, and the current women's 6H Track world record holder,> and 2007 female winner of IAU 24-Hour Run 100 km World Championship. She is a three time female winner of 100 km Lake Saroma Ultramarathon and a five-time female winner of Hasetsune cup, an endurance trail race in Japan.

Ellie Greenwood British ultramarathon runner

Ellie Greenwood is a British ultramarathon runner. She began her ultra career in 2008 and is a two-time 100km World Champion, winning the title in 2010 and 2014. She holds numerous course records, including those for the Western States 100, the Canadian Death Race, the JFK 50 Mile Run and the Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run. She is the first British woman to win the 90 km Comrades Marathon in South Africa.

Eleanor Robinson is a British former ultramarathon runner and two-time winner of the IAU 100km World Championships. She was the first woman to run over 150 miles in a 24-hour endurance race. She was the winner of the first Badwater Ultramarathon in 1987. She was twice bronze medallist at the IAU 100 km European Championships.

Camille Herron American ultramarathon runner

Camille Herron is an American ultramarathon runner. She is the first and only athlete to win all three of the International Association of Ultrarunners' 50K, 100K, and 24 Hour World Championships. She won the 2017 Comrades Marathon and holds several world-best times at ultramarathon distances, along with the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon in a superhero costume. She is known for running with her hair down, drinking beer, and eating tacos during ultramarathons. In November 2017, she broke Ann Trason's 100-mile road best by over an hour.

Lizzy Hawker British endurance athlete (born 1976)

Lizzy Hawker is a British endurance athlete. She has been dubbed as the Queen of the mountains, running ultramarathons while climbing the heights of Mount Everest. Some of her career highlights include five wins at the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB), former World Record holder for 24 Hours, and winner of the 2006 IAU 100 km World Championships.

Dan Lawson is a British ultra runner and charity worker from Brighton. Lawson also does charity work in India for OSCAR India and Skillshare International. He holds the course record for the Grand Union Canal Race and in 2016, he won the European 24 Hour Championships, and in 2020 set one of the fastest known times for Land's End to John o' Groats (LEJOG).
