Katalin Nagy (May 5, 1979 in Eger, Hungary) is an ultramarathon runner and member of the USA National 24hr Ultramarathon Team.
Nagy first appeared on the ultramarathon scene in 2012 finishing on the podium at the Croom Zoom 50 km Run and winning the 50 mile road run event of the Keys 100 Ultramarathons in Florida. Since then she became the first American female runner to win the IAU 24 Hour World Championship in Turin in April 2015. [1] She also led the US Women’s Team to its third consecutive world championship victory with a record breaking team championship performance of 720.046 km with team mates Traci Falbo and Maggie Guterl. She took her first major international ultramarathon title at Ultrabalaton, a 212 km run around Lake Balaton, Hungary in 2013. Her victory list also includes the South Carolina 24 Hour Race (2014), the Keys 100 Ultramarathons 100 mile event (2014), two wins at the Desert Solstice 24 Hour Track Run (2014, 2015) and a 246 km Athens to Sparta Spartathlon victory with a record time of 25:07:12 ahead of Alyson Venti and former course record holder Szilvia Lubics. An ultramarathon, also called ultra distance or ultra running, is any footrace longer than the traditional marathon length of 42.195 kilometres.
Scott Gordon Jurek is an American ultramarathoner, author, and public speaker. Throughout his running career, Jurek was one of the most dominant ultramarathon runners in the world, winning the Hardrock Hundred (2007), the Badwater Ultramarathon, the Spartathlon, and the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run (1999–2005). In 2010, at the 24-Hour World Championships in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France, Jurek won a silver medal behind Shingo Inoue and set a new US record for distance run in 24 hours with 165.7 miles. Jurek has followed a vegetarian diet since 1997, and a vegan diet since 1999.

He is the current Asian record holder of the 24-hour run with the distance of 274.884 km (170.805 mi), which he achieved in 2007 at Soochow International Ultra-Marathon. He is a four-time IAU 24 Hour World Championship winner, which makes him the athlete with the most wins in the event.

Ellie Greenwood is a British ultramarathon runner. She began her ultra career in 2008 and is a two-time 100km World Champion, winning the title in 2010 and 2014. She holds numerous course records, including those for the Western States 100, the Canadian Death Race, the JFK 50 Mile Run and the Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run. She is the first British woman to win the 90 km Comrades Marathon in South Africa.
