Kathleen K. Parker (born September 21, 1943) is an American politician.
Parker was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. Parker lived in Northbrook, Illinois with her husband and family. Parker served in the Illinois Senate from 1995 until 2002 and was a Republican. [1] [2]

She received both a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Harper Pitt in the acclaimed HBO television miniseries Angels in America in 2003.

"K-K-K-Katy" is a World War I-era song written by Canadian American composer Geoffrey O'Hara in 1917 and published in 1918. The sheet music advertised it as "The Sensational Stammering Song Success Sung by the Soldiers and Sailors", as well as "The Sensational New Stammering Song" The song was first played at a garden party fund-raiser for the Red Cross in Collins Bay on Lake Ontario.
