Kathy Cary

Kathy Cary (born 1954) [1] is owner and executive chef at Lilly's Bistro in Louisville, Kentucky and a seven-time James Beard Award nominee. [2]

Cary grew up on a farm and has been noted for her work in the farm-to-table movement, [3] emphasizing locally sourced ingredients. [4]

In addition to Lilly's Bistro, [1] Cary also owns La Peche Gourmet To Go. In May 2015, [5] she competed on the Food Network's show Beat Bobby Flay . [6] Among other nominations, Cary was one of 20 semifinalists for the 2015 James Beard Foundation's restaurant and chef awards. [7] In 2016, she was again named a semifinalist, one of 20 named to the foundation's "Best Chef: Southeast" list. [8]

Cary's daughter Lilly Cary, for whom Lilly's Bistro is named, is now a pastry chef with a doughnut delivery service in Louisville. [9]

Stephanie Izard is an American chef and television personality best known as the first female chef to win Bravo's Top Chef, taking the title during its fourth season. She is the co-owner and executive chef of three award-winning Chicago restaurants, Girl and the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat, and opened her first restaurant, Scylla as chef-owner at the age of 27. Izard received a James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef: Great Lakes" in 2013 for her work at Girl and the Goat. Peter X. Kelly is a restaurateur and chef. He runs the Xaviars Restaurant Group, which owns and manages Xaviars and Freelance Cafe in Piermont, New York, Restaurant X and Bully Boy Bar in Congers and Xaviars X2O on the Hudson in Yonkers.
