Katie A. Keane (also known as Katie Amanda Keane) is an American actress.
Keane received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emporia State University in 1996 and a M.F.A. with honors from California State University, Long Beach. [1] In addition to a number of theatrical credits (including performances as Lady Macbeth and Desdemona), [2] she is best known for her role as Audie Gallagher in the television series Ruby & the Rockits . She has also had guest appearances on Passions , Strong Medicine , CSI: NY , How I Met Your Mother , NCIS , Without a Trace , and Eli Stone . She portrays Sarah in the 2010 film My Name Is Khan .

Emporia is a city in and the county seat of Lyon County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 24,139. Emporia lies between Topeka and Wichita at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 with Interstates 335 and 35 on the Kansas Turnpike. Emporia is also a college town, home to Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College. It is home of two annual sporting events: Unbound Gravel and Dynamic Discs Open.

Emporia State University is a public university in Emporia, Kansas, United States. Established in March 1863 as the Kansas State Normal School, Emporia State is the third-oldest public university in the state of Kansas. The Emporia State Hornets football program is a college football team that represents Emporia State University, often referred to as "Emporia State" or "ESU". The team competes as a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), which is a conference in the Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The program began in 1897 and has fifteen conference titles. On December 15, 2006, former Hornet quarterback Garin Higgins became the team's 24th head coach, following the resignation of Dave Wiemers. Home games are played on Jones Field at Welch Stadium, located on the Emporia State University campus in Emporia, Kansas. In August 2017, Hero Sports named Emporia State the "best football team in Kansas, regardless of division."

Kay Schallenkamp is an American education administrator, most recently serving as Black Hills State University's ninth president in Spearfish, South Dakota. Before her job at Black Hills State, Schallenkamp also served as the fourteenth president at Emporia State University, provost and vice-chancellor at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, Chadron State College, and multiple positions at Northern State University.
Jacqueline A. Vietti is an American retired educator, most notably serving as Butler Community College's president in El Dorado, Kansas, for nearly two decades. Besides serving as president of Butler, Vietti served as Dean of Instruction at Labette Community College in Kansas, Emporia State University's interim president from June to December 2015, and was Kansas City Kansas Community College's acting president from July 2017 to June 2018.
Allison Dabbs Garrett is an American attorney, inventor, educator, and the chancellor of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. She previously served as the 17th president of Emporia State University from January 2016 to October 2021, and prior to her time at Emporia State, Garrett served as Abilene Christian University's executive vice president, a position she held from August 20, 2012, to December 23, 2015. Garrett has held several vice president positions in both education and the private sector.

Katherine Moore Porter is an American politician, law professor, and lawyer who is the U.S. representative from California's 47th congressional district since 2023, previously representing the 45th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. She is the first Democrat to be elected to represent the 45th district, covering much of south-central Orange County, including Irvine, Tustin, and Lake Forest along with large portions of Anaheim and Laguna Niguel. Porter was reelected in 2022 in the newly redistricted 47th congressional district.
