Kavesh Kantasingh (born 30 September 1986) is a Trinidadian cricketer who has played for Trinidad and Tobago and the Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket. He is a left-arm orthodox spin bowler.
Kantasingh made his senior debut in West Indian cricket at the 2007–08 KFC Cup,played for the Combined Campuses. [1] His first-class debut came a few months later,in the 2007–08 Carib Beer Cup. [2] In the 2008–09 Regional Four Day Competition,Kantasingh finished with 32 wickets from 11 matches,behind only Ryan Austin for his team. [3] His maiden first-class five-wicket haul came the following season,when he took 6/29 and 6/55 (match figures of 12/84) against Trinidad and Tobago. [4] A month later,Kantasingh also took 5/69 against the Leeward Islands. [5]
During the 2010–11 season,Kantasingh added a second first-class ten-wicket haul,taking 7/22 and 4/50 against Barbados. He finished the season with 42 wickets at an average of 17.80,which placed him second in the competition,behind his teammate Ryan Austin. [6] In the 2011–12 Regional Super50,Kantasingh took a maiden List A five-wicket haul,6/26 against the Leeward Islands. [7] For the 2011–12 Regional Four Day Competition,however,he switched to play for his home country,Trinidad and Tobago. In his first match for his new team,against Jamaica,he took 6/94. This was followed two matches by a ten-wicket haul against the Leewards,4/17 and 6/77. [2]
In October 2019,he was named in the Combined Campuses' squad for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. [8]
The Regional Four Day Competition,formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup,is the first-class cricket competition in the West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. In the 2013-2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. In a few previous seasons the winners of the tournament were awarded the Headley/Weekes trophy. From the 2017–18,the Competition had been sponsored by Digicel and was known as the Digicel Four Day Championship. In 2019-20,the competition has been known as the West Indies Championship.
The Super50 Cup,currently named the CG Insurance Super50 Cup for sponsorship purposes is the domestic one-day cricket competition in the West Indies. It was previously known as the KFC Cup until the fast food chain pulled out of sponsorship in 2008 and the WICB Cup until 2011. Afterwards it was known the Regional Super50 until 2014 when NAGICO Insurance became the title sponsor and it became the NAGICO Regional Super50 until 2021. In recent years it has been run in a condensed format with the group stage taking place over approximately two to three weeks,immediately followed by the knock-out stages. Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) is a List A cricket team and former first-class cricket team that plays in the West Indies domestic competition the Regional Super50 and used to play in the Regional Four Day Competition. Effectively a continuation of the previous University of the West Indies cricket team,the team was created for the 2007/08 season and played their first matches in the KFC Cup one-day competition in October 2007.

The previous edition of the tournament was known as the Regional Four Day Competition before being rebranded by CWI. The competition started on 9 January 2020 and was scheduled to conclude on 5 April 2020. Six teams contested the tournament –Barbados,Guyana,Jamaica,the Leeward Islands,Trinidad and Tobago,and the Windward Islands. Guyana were the defending champions.
