Kazi Abdur Rashid was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the former Member of Parliament from Gopalganj-1.

Career

Rashid fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war. He was elected to Parliament in 1991 from Gopalganj-1 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. [1] He served as the administrator of Gopalganj District Council. [2]

Death

Rashid died on 14 August 2014 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. [3]

The attack was carried out at 5.22 PM after Sheikh Hasina the leader of opposition finished addressing a crowd of 20,000 people from the back of a truck. The attacks targeted Awami League president Sheikh Hasina. Hasina was injured in the attack.
