Keagan Clint Africa (born 6 April 1985) is a former South African cricketer who represented KwaZulu-Natal between 2004 and 2007. He played as a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
Africa was born in Johannesburg and attended Hilton College. [1] He represented the South African under-19 team at the 2004 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh,and took eight wickets from six matches. In his team's narrow one-wicket loss to Nepal,he scored 52 not out from ninth in the batting order,and then took 3/36 from ten overs opening the bowling. [2] Africa made his first-class debut for KwaZulu-Natal in October 2004,and his limited overs debut just over a week later. He made semi-regular appearances over the following three seasons,and played his last game in November 2007. [3] [4] In total,Africa took 41 wickets from 19 first-class matches and 24 wickets from 22 limited-overs matches. [1] His best figures for KwaZulu-Natal,5/23 from 16 overs,came in the second innings of a Three-Day Challenge game against Border in January 2007. [5]

His first-class debut came 11 days later against Namibia;he took two catches for the first two Namibian wickets,but scored just one run in each innings as Namibia won by an innings and 94 runs. His top scores in both List A and first-class cricket came in successive games,first scoring 54 not out in a 129-run victory over Easterns in the one-day competition on 24 November 2013,before hitting 26 in the first innings of a drawn match against North West on 12–14 December 2013.

In September 2021,Maharaj captained South Africa for the first time,in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. In September 2021,Maharaj made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka,captaining the team in his debut match. Maharaj holds the joint world record for the most runs scored in an over in Test history,scoring 28 off one of Joe Root's overs during England's tour of South Africa in 2019.

The 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 12 October 2017 to 15 April 2018. The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. Unlike its counterpart,the Sunfoil Series,the matches were three days in length instead of four. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge,a List A competition which features the same teams.
The 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 4 October 2018 to 14 April 2019. This was the first edition of the tournament not to be sponsored by Sunfoil,after they decided not to renew their sponsorship.

The 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from October 2019 to April 2020. On 16 March 2020,Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 24 March 2020,Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal were named as the joint-winners of the tournament. KwaZulu-Natal finished top of group B,with Easterns named joint-winners despite not topping their group,but played one match fewer than other teams,with their victory coming via an average points calculation. This was following the recommendations made by Graeme Smith,the acting Director of Cricket.

The tournament was played in parallel with the 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup,a first-class competition which featured the same teams. On 16 March 2020,Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 24 March 2020,Free State and Northern Cape were named as the joint-winners of the tournament,after finishing top of Groups A and B respectively. This was following the recommendations made by Graeme Smith,the acting Director of Cricket.
