The Palestra, often called the Cathedral of College Basketball, is an historic arena and the home gym of the Penn Quakers men's and women's basketball teams, volleyball teams, wrestling team, and Philadelphia Big 5 basketball. Located at 235 South 33rd St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, near Franklin Field in the University City section of Philadelphia, it opened on January 1, 1927. The Palestra has been called "the most important building in the history of college basketball" and "changed the entire history of the sport for which it was built."
Memorial Gymnasium is a multi-purpose facility located in Nashville, Tennessee. Usually called Memorial Gym or simply Memorial, the building is located on the western end of the Vanderbilt University campus. It was built in 1952 and currently has a seating capacity of 14,326. It serves as home court for the school's men's and women's basketball programs.
The Roy L. Patrick Gymnasium is a 3,228 seat multi-purpose arena in Burlington, Vermont. It was built in 1963 to replace the Old Gymnasium, a then-60-year old facility now known as the Royall Tyler Theater. It is used mainly as the home arena of the Vermont Catamounts men's and women's basketball teams. It has been the site of the 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019 America East men's basketball tournament championship games, as the higher seed in the final hosts the game. The championship games were all televised on ESPN or ESPN2. Vermont has consistently been among the America East leaders in home attendance and in 2004-05, it became the only America East men's basketball program to sell out every game for an entire season.
The UNT Coliseum is a 9,797-seat multi-purpose arena located in Denton, Texas, United States built in 1973. Despite being home to the North Texas Mean Green men's and women's basketball teams, the athletic department rents the building from the University of North Texas. For non-athletic functions, the arena is known as the Coliseum and for athletic functions the arena is known as the Super Pit, a nickname derived from its proximity to the former home of the Mean Green basketball teams, the Ken Bahnsen Gym, nicknamed the Snake Pit. It is the largest basketball arena in Conference USA.
The Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, often referred to as the MAC Center and the MACC, is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The building is primarily used as an athletic venue that is home to five Kent State Golden Flashes varsity athletic teams, including the men's basketball and women's basketball teams. The arena also hosts women's volleyball, women's gymnastics, and wrestling as well as commencement exercises, speakers, and concerts throughout the year. The building houses the offices of the Kent State Athletic Department and the coaches of each of the university's varsity athletic teams.
The L. Stockwell Jadwin Gymnasium is a 6,854-seat multi-purpose arena at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. The arena opened in 1969. It is home to the Princeton Tigers college basketball teams. It replaced Dillon Gymnasium, the home of Princeton volleyball and wrestling, as the fifth main basketball arena on campus.
McKeon Pavilion is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena at Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, California. Home men's and women's basketball and volleyball games are held in the gymnasium, the team nickname being the Gaels. Many athletic camps for youths also use the gym, primarily in the summer, and other on-campus events, such as the Baccalaureate mass, are also held there. Banners commemorating successful seasons, championships and post-season appearances for all Saint Mary's sports hang on the back wall. At well-attended games, the court-level bleachers opposite the benches are reserved entirely for students.
The Athletics–Recreation Center, also known as the ARC, is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. It serves as the home court for Valparaiso Crusaders men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. It opened in 1984 as an addition to Hilltop Gym, the oldest parts of which date to 1939.
The 1957 NCAA University Division Basketball Tournament involved 23 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's college basketball in the NCAA University Division, known since 1973 as NCAA Division I. The 1956–57 school year was the first in which NCAA members were formally divided into separate competitive levels, with larger and more competitive athletic programs placed in the University Division and smaller programs placed in the College Division. The tournament began on March 11, 1957, and ended with the championship game on March 23 in Kansas City, Missouri. A total of 27 games were played, including a third place game in each region and a national third place game.
Alumni Gymnasium, now known as Alumni Gym Fitness Center, is a building on the University of Kentucky (UK) campus in Lexington, Kentucky. It is located on the corner of South Limestone Street and Avenue of Champions next to the University of Kentucky Student Center. When it opened in 1924, replacing Alumni Hall, it was a 2,800 seat multi-purpose arena, serving as home to the UK Wildcats basketball team. It was replaced when the Memorial Coliseum opened in 1950. The building later became a student recreation facility, and was frequently used for recreational and intramural basketball. During this period, it was also home to the University of Kentucky Men's Club Basketball team, University of Kentucky Club Dodgeball team, and the UK Men's Club Volleyball team. The interior of the facility was gutted in 2017 as part of a project to renovate the university's student center, and the building reopened in 2018 as a student fitness center.
McCarthy Gymnasium is a 3,000 seat multi-purpose arena located on the Mississippi State University campus. It opened in 1950 directly east of the "Tin Gym", MSU's previous on-campus arena that had opened in 1929. It was originally known as the Mississippi State Gymnasium, or the New Gym for short. When it opened, the facility held over 5,000 people. It was renamed for former MSU men's basketball coach James H. "Babe" McCarthy after his death in 1975. The facility had a seating capacity of 5,000 when it first opened in 1950, but capacity was reduced to the current 3,000 when retractable seating was removed. It was home to the Mississippi State University Bulldogs basketball teams until the Humphrey Coliseum opened in 1975 and has been home to the MSU Tennis teams since 1999.
North Texas Mean Green represents the University of North Texas (UNT) in intercollegiate athletics. The teams compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). North Texas competed in the Sun Belt Conference until joining Conference USA (C-USA) on July 1, 2013. UNT's official school colors are green, white and black. North Texas' mascot is an eagle named Scrappy.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball program, nicknamed the Dunkin' Dawgs, represents intercollegiate men's basketball at Louisiana Tech University. The program competes in Conference USA in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and plays home games at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, Louisiana. Eric Konkol is in his fourth season as the Bulldogs' head coach.
The Nicholls Colonels men's basketball team represents Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in the sport of basketball. The school's team currently competes in the Southland Conference. Nicholls' first men's basketball team was fielded in 1958. The team plays its home games at 3,800-seat Stopher Gymnasium and are coached by Austin Claunch.

The Mean Green, led by second year head coach Mike Petersen, play their home games at The Super Pit, also known as UNT Coliseum, and were first year members of Conference USA. They finished the season 12–18 overall, 6–10 in C-USA for a 5 way tie for a ninth place finish. They lost in the first round in the 2014 Conference USA Women's Basketball Tournament to Louisiana Tech.

They finished the season 5–24, 4–14 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for twelfth place. They failed to qualify for the Conference USA Women's Tournament.
The 2016–17 North Texas Mean Green men's basketball team represented the University of North Texas during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mean Green, led by fifth-year head coach Tony Benford, played their home games at UNT Coliseum, nicknamed The Super Pit, in Denton, Texas, as members of Conference USA. They finished the season 8–22, 2–16 in C-USA play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the C-USA Tournament.
The 2017–18 North Texas Mean Green women's basketball team represents the University of North Texas during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Mean Green, led by third year head coach Jalie Mitchell, play their home games UNT Coliseum, also known as The Super Pit, and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 17–14, 6–10 in C-USA play to finish in a 3-way tie for tenth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the C-USA Women's Tournament where they lost to Western Kentucky.
