The French submarine Rubis was a Saphir-class minelaying submarine which first served in the French submarine pavilion, then the Free French Naval Forces (FNFL) during the Second World War and back with the French Navy. The boat was awarded numerous awards. Accordingly, as a result of Rubis's service with the FNFL, the boat was made a companion of the Ordre de la Libération by a decree issued by General Charles de Gaulle on 14 October 1941.

Tunduma is a city in Songwe Region, Tanzania, on the border between Tanzania and Zambia. It has border posts for both the Tanzam Highway and the TAZARA railway linking the two countries. It is located 103 km southwest of Mbeya. It is also the junction for the tarmac road which runs via Sumbawanga through the remote far western districts of Tanzania to Kasulu and Kibondo in the north-west. According to the 2022 census, it has a population of 219,309. Tunduma can be the most famous border city within SADCC countries and it is informerly known as the gateway to East Africa with the neighbour country of Zambia. Once you are in Tunduma, you can enter the town of Nakonde, in Zambia either on foot or other means of transportation.

Akashat is a small town in the northwest of the Ar-Rutba District of the Al Anbar province of Iraq, on the road between the towns of Ar-Rutbah and Al-Qa'im. It has a population of around 5,000. It was built as an industrial village in 1985, attached to the local phosphate quarry and administered by the ministry of industry. The Phosphate Plant in the town employs roughly 50-60 permanent workers. Production there was seriously disrupted by the UN sanctions after 1991 and the 2003 war, essentially stopped it from working. It is now operating at around 10%.

The line branched from the main Melbourne – Ballarat railway at Ballarat East station and was 11 km long. The line was opened on 11 September 1889, with traffic commencing the following day.

Giles Glacier is a hanging glacier that flows eastward along the south side of Moyher Ridge to Thomas Glacier in the south Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 2006 after J. David Giles, Polar Ice Coring Office, University of Nebraska, who supported United States Antarctic Program drilling operations at Taylor Dome, the South Pole, Windless Bight, Siple Dome and Kamb Ice Stream, from 1993 to 1998.
The Łódź Niciarniana is a name assigned to a commuter railway station in the city of Łódź, Poland, located in Widzew district, approximately 2.7 kilometres (1.7 mi) away from Łódź Fabryczna station. The station bears its name after the Niciarniana street, which runs closely to the station.
