Kennedy Dasrath Venkersammy [lower-alpha 1] (born 12 February 1951) is a former international cricketer who represented the United States national team between 1982 and 1986. He was born in Guyana,and before emigrating to the U.S. played first-class cricket for Berbice.
A right-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm leg spin bowler,Venkersammy played for the Guyanese national team at under-19 level,and also toured England with a West Indies Young Cricketers team in 1970. [1] He made his first-class debut for Berbice in October 1971,playing against Demerara in the final of the inter-county Jones Cup (which at the time held first-class status). [2] Shortly after,Venkersammy emigrated to the United States. However,on a later visit to Guyana in 1975 he made another appearance for Berbice,which was his last at first-class level. [1] Having continued to play club cricket in the U.S.,Venkersammy was eventually selected to make his international debut at the 1982 ICC Trophy in England. He played in four of his team's seven matches at the tournament,with notable performances including an innings of 39 against Zimbabwe and bowling figures of 2/9 against Israel. Venkersammy's final international appearances came four years later,at the 1986 ICC Trophy,although he was only selected for two matches. [3]
Several members of Venkersammy's family also played cricket at high levels. His brother,Stanley,played for Berbice (though not at first-class level),while a first cousin,Sen Gopaul,played for Guyana. Venkersammy was more distantly related to the Etwaroo brothers (Romain,Reginald,and Tyrone),and also to Rohan Kanhai,a West Indies Test player. [1]

The Guyana national cricket team is the representative first class cricket team of Guyana. The side does not take part in any international competitions, but rather in inter-regional competitions in the Caribbean, such as the Regional Four Day Competition and the Regional Super50), and the best players may be selected for the West Indies team, which plays international cricket. Guyana has participated in the South American Cricket Championship for some editions, but were represented by an overage "masters" team. The team competes under the franchise name Guyana Harpy Eagles.
Ray Ricardo Wynter is a former Jamaican cricketer who played first-class and one-day cricket for Jamaica from 1975 until 1982. A right-handed batsman and right-arm opening bowler, he played 30 matches in all in those formats. In 1983, Wynter participated in a rebel tour of South Africa. As a result, he and all the other players on the tour received a lifetime ban from West Indian cricket. Wynter later emigrated to the United States, and played for the U.S. national team at the 1990 ICC Trophy.

He spent his childhood and early adolescence in Mahaica Village, in what is now Guyana's Demerara-Mahaica region before emigrating to Canada, where he played in West Indian domestic cricket. He made his first-class debut in October 1973, playing for Demerara against Berbice in the final of the inter-county Jones Cup. Neblett did not make his national debut until January 1978, when he represented the Guyanese national team against Trinidad and Tobago and the Leeward Islands in the regional one-day competition. Later in the year, he also played three Shell Shield games for Guyana, which were his final appearances at regional level.
