Kenny Auma (10 December 1989) is a Ugandan politician and woman representative in the eleventh parliament of Uganda for Kwania District under the Uganda People's Congress. [1] [2] [3] She was elected in 2021 and her term in office runs from 2021 to 2026. [4]

Political career

She belongs to the Physical Infrastructure Committee, and Public Accounts (Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises) Committee at the eleventh Parliament of Uganda. [4] In 2024, she provided financial support to 10 Women Village Savings and Loan Associations [VSLA] groups in Kwania district as part of her personal initiative. [5] In 2023, she also donated ten million Uganda shillings to God is Good Gospel Singers’ Savings and Credit Cooperatives Society [SACCO] during its official launch at Aduku Mayor’s Garden in Aduku town council based in Kwania District. [6]

She won the parliamentary seat running as an independent candidate in 2016. Her tenure as member of parliament was cut short when the Ugandan supreme court nullified her election for non-compliance with electoral laws because the electoral commission failed to carry out a vote recount after she had won with a two vote margin, beating James Nabinson Kidega of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). However, she returned as member of parliament after being re-elected Aruu north member of parliament in the April 2017 election by again beating Kidega, this time 64 percent to 32 percent.

Hellen Auma Wandera is a Ugandan politician who is the Busia District Women Representative elect in Uganda's elect 11th Parliament. She serves on the Committee on Presidential Affairs in the eleventh parliament of Uganda.
