Hassan Kehinde Daniel popularly known as Kent Edunjobi is a Nigerian songwriter and music producer. [1] [2]

Early life and career

Kehinde studied Computer Science and Statistics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. [3] Kehinde started his music career as member of the Apex Choir of the Celestial Church of Christ where he is now the music director. He started working for Kunle Afolayan Productions in 2016 and has been composing soundtracks for the production company since.[ citation needed ]

In 2023, he came into limelight after composing the soundtrack for won Aníkúlápó. [4] In the same year, he released Ebenezer with the Apex Choir and it had 1 million views on YouTube within its first month. [5]

<i>Aníkúlápó</i> Nigerian film

Aníkúlápó is a 2022 Nigerian epic fantasy film produced by Kunle Afolayan and distributed by Netflix. Released on 30 September 2022, it stars Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale,Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Taiwo Hassan. The film was shot in Oyo State and Afolayan has described the work as a "Game of Thrones recreated in Nigeria but with a better representation of our culture ".

Ijakumo is a 2022 suspense thriller produced by Toyin Abraham and had its theatrical release on 23 December 2022. The film stars an ensemble cast including Toyin Abraham, Kunle Remi, Lolade Okusanya, Bimbo Akintola, Olumide Oworu, Lillian Afegbai among others. The film was scripted by Kehinde Joseph and directed by Adebayo Tijani.

The 2023 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards was held between 18 and 20 May 2023. The event included a series of pre-show activities with the actual award show held on 20 May 2023.
