Keon Johnson (born September 29, 1995) is an American basketball player. He recently completed his college career at Winthrop University, where he was named Big South Conference Player of the Year in 2017.
Johnson passed the 2,000 career point mark in a 2017 Big South tournament game, making him Winthrop's all-time Division I scoring leader. [1] Johnson led the Eagles to the tournament championship, earning MVP honors and helping the team advance to the 2017 NCAA tournament. [2] At the close of the season, Johnson was named Big South Player of the Year and an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press. [3]
In 2020, Johnson was voted into the 2010-19 Big South Men's Basketball All-Decade Team. [4]
Winthrop University is a public university in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It was founded in 1886 by David Bancroft Johnson, who served as the superintendent of Columbia, South Carolina, schools. He received a grant from Robert Charles Winthrop, a Boston philanthropist and chair of the Peabody Education Board in Massachusetts, to establish the school.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are the athletic teams that represent Coastal Carolina University. They participate in Division I of the NCAA as a member of the Sun Belt Conference in most sports, having joined that conference as a full but non-football member on July 1, 2016. At that time, the football team began a transition from the second-level Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to the top-level Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Gregory Devon Lewis is an American former professional basketball player. In college, he was the Big South Conference player of the year as a senior in 2001–02. As the No. 1 seed in the Big South tournament, they defeated Charleston Southern, Gardner–Webb, and Campbell to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, their first bid since 2010. In the NCAA Tournament, they lost in the first round to Butler.

They defeated Gardner–Webb in the quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing in the semifinals to Radford.
Xavier Cooks is an Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League.
