Kester Cottages at Founder's Park is a historic site operated by the Pompano Beach Historical Society in Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. The site includes a local history museum and exhibits from the late 1930s. They constitute the Pompano Beach Historical Museum.
The cottages are two of the perhaps 150 built in Pompano Beach by William L. Kester in the 1930s. 25 feet (7.6 m) by 35 feet (11 m), they were sturdy and economical. All were one story and painted white, with shutters decorated with the four symbols (♠♣♥♦) from a deck of cards. The price was $950.
Two cottages were donated to the Pompano Beach Historical Society in 1974. They have been moved from their original locations to Founders Park, and serve as museums of past life in Pompano Beach. [1]

The Yamato Colony was an attempt to create a community of Japanese farmers in what is now Boca Raton, Florida, early in the 20th century. With encouragement from Florida authorities, young Japanese men were recruited to farm in the colony. There were as many as 75 Japanese men, some with their families, at the peak. There was "a cluster of two-story frame houses, a general store..., some packing houses."

The Sample-McDougald House is a 4,700 square feet (440 m2) historic home in Pompano Beach, Florida, built in 1916. It is currently located at 450 Northeast 10th Street, but was originally built on Dixie Highway and moved to its present location by the Sample-McDougald House Preservation Society in 2001. On September 15, 2004, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The house is open as a house museum of pioneer South Florida lifestyle. The house grounds are Centennial Park, maintained by the city of Pompano Beach.
The Thomas Paine Cottage in New Rochelle, New York, in the United States, was the home from 1802 to 1806 of Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense, U.S. Founding Father, and Revolutionary War hero. Paine was buried near the cottage from his death in 1809 until his body was disinterred in 1819. It was one of a number of buildings located on the 300 acre farm given to Paine by the State of New York in 1784, in recognition of his services in the cause of Independence. It was here in August 1805 that he wrote his last pamphlet, which was addressed to the citizens of Philadelphia on "Constitutional Reform".

The Pompano Beach Mound, located at Indian Mound Park in Pompano Beach, Florida, in Broward County, is a 100-foot (30 m) wide, 7-foot (2.1 m) tall oval Tequesta burial mound. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 2014.
The Ely Educational Museum, 1500 NW 6 Avenue, Pompano Beach, Florida is located in the Blanche & Joseph Ely House. The Elys were teachers and leaders in the black community. Blanche Ely High School, where she was principal for many years, was named for her.
Blanche Euturpe General Ely was born in Reddick, Florida, the daughter of Deacon John General and Sarah Enock General. Her mother died when she was an infant, and she was raised by her father and her stepmother Amanda General. She graduated from Fessenden Academy in Ocala, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Florida A & M University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, Teachers College, Columbia University. She also held a Bachelor of Science in "Life Instructions", from a program jointly sponsored by Florida A&M University and Benedict College.
Covenant Beach Bible Camp, now known as Des Moines Beach Park, is a public site in Des Moines, Washington. Established in 1931, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
Michael James Murphy known locally as “M. J. Murphy” was an established master builder in the Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. He had a significant influence on the character and architecture of the Village of Carmel during his career. From 1902 to 1940, he built nearly 350 buildings. He founded M. J. Murphy, Inc., which continues to supply building material for the Monterey Peninsula.
