Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki is a former Member House of Representatives [1] representing Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye constituencies of Gombe state. He made history in 2011 when he emerged as the only legislator from North-East with the highest Number of vote [2] and was the deputy chairman house committee on FCT area council [3] and member of several other committees such as petroleum upstream,internal security,house services,human right,climate changes and global warming,and solid minerals salt. He is the founder of Mailatantarki Football Care Academy. [4] [5] [6]
Gombe State is a state in northeastern Nigeria,bordered to the north and northeast by the states of Borno and Yobe,to the south by Taraba State,to the southeast by Adamawa State,and to the west by Bauchi State. Named for the city of Gombe,the state's capital and largest city,Gombe State was formed from a part of Bauchi State on October 1,1996. The state is among the multilingual states in Nigeria. Of the 36 states in Nigeria,Gombe is the 21st largest in area and the 32nd most populous,with an estimated population of about 3.25 million as of 2016.
Senator Usman Bayero Nafada is a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency of Gombe state,and a former senator for the Gombe North senatorial district in 2015 under the umbrella of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He was the 2019 Peoples Democratic Party's gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State.
