Khan FM (born Faraz Khan) is a Dubai-born singer-songwriter, and lead vocalist and one of three guitarists for the Dubai-based rock band, Chronicles of Khan. [1] [2] He has also released music under the name Sound of Nomads & is currently leading Artist & Label Partnerships in South Asian emerging markets for Spotify. [3] [4] [5]
Khan FM [6] [7] [8] started his career as a TV presenter for music videos and artists from South Asia. After working on various music festivals, concerts in his early twenties, he worked for Red Bull Music as a Culture Marketing Manager.
Khan is also known for his contribution to Pakistani Music during the early to mid-2000’s as a presenter & producer for a television music show called ‘Rock On’ which aired on the ARY Digital Network. Khan played a vital role in introducing bands like Entity Paradigm, Call, Roxen, Jal, Aaroh, and Mekaal Hassan Band to wider audiences via the music show he hosted on a global TV station. [9]
He formed his band Chronicles of Khan in 2018. [10] [3] Khan has also played a pivotal role in promoting Coke Studio Season 14 [11] [12] [13] on Spotify. [14] [15] [16] He was also one of the speakers at Spotify's First Master class [17] for Artist Community of Pakistan. [18] [19] [20]
Chronicles of Khan was created as a solo outlet for Khan to move away from his then underground band Universal Rogue. During the early days, his best friend Sean Walters supported Khan’s new endeavor & suggested adding more members which eventually turned Chronicles of Khan into a full-fledged rock band. The band name was taken from a 2010 fantasy film the night he decided to start the new music journey. [3]
Formed in 2016, Chronicles of Khan released their first album in the form of an ep titled Legacies & Bequests in 2018. With a launch show at Virgin Megastore, the band gigged consistently across the UAE as well as performed at a major festival in Pakistan. The first single of the record was titled Jokers Ball, followed by a fan favorite track named Halo.
The band found itself amidst popularity in the UAE underground music scene and soon became one of Dubai’s best Original Rock & Roll bands. The attention soon led to the band performing at various festivals such as Middle East Film & Comic Con, Mother of Nation Festival Abu Dhabi, Beats on the Beach Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Drone Prix.
While recording their follow up record, the band was faced with a sudden hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the members have parted ways with the future of the band coming to a uncertain halt. [10]

Pakistani popular music or shortly Pak-pop music refers to popular music forms in Pakistan. Faisal Kapadia is a Pakistani musician, composer, singer-songwriter, and a guitarist. He is best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of rock music band Strings. After dissolution of Strings band, he started singing as solo artist. Faisal Kapadia has directed a number of music videos for his band. Strings made its entry into the Bollywood music in 2006.
Strings was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood, Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy —in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry.
Ali Aziz Sethi is a Pakistani-American singer, songwriter, composer, and author. Born to journalists and politicians Najam Sethi and Jugnu Mohsin, Sethi rose to prominence with his debut novel, The Wish Maker (2009). Although Sethi received some musical training as a child, he did not begin to formally train in Hindustani classical music until after graduating from college. "Afreen Afreen" is a nazm (song) performed and composed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. It first featured on their collaborative album Sangam in 1996. In 2016, it was covered by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustehsan during season 9 of Coke Studio.
Farhad Humayun was a Pakistani singer, drummer, record producer and video artist. He was popularly associated with the Pakistani drum jam band Overload which he founded in 2003. Farhad started his career as underground musician and formed two bands Co-Ven and Mindriot as a drummer. He worked with artists such as Atif Aslam, Symt, Maha Ali Kazmi and Meesha Shafi. Humayun received many awards and accolades for his work. He was also the owner of Riot Studios, a recording studio and music performance venue in Lahore.

The fourteenth season of the Pakistani music television series Coke Studio Pakistan was produced by Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan after Rohail Hyatt stepped down from the role. Coca-Cola Pakistan was the executive producer of the show. Season 14 featured 13 original songs, each with its own visuals, and ran from 14 January 2022 to 22 March 2022.
Abdullah Siddiqui is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, and producer associated with Urdu and English language music.
