Background

Khan was born on 12 January 1979. [1] He was raised in Comilla, Bangladesh. He completed his high school and college in Sylhet Cadet College. He completed his bachelor's degree in Arts degree from Hamline University. He made his debut with Ostittey Amar Desh. He is most known for Jaago, which is the first Bangladeshi sports film. He also has his own production house named KHK Productions. He won Best screenplay award for his film Ora 7 Jon [2] [3]

Extremist plot to kill Khan

Police arrested two extremists accused of plotting to kill Khan. They said that the extremists targeted Khan because he co-wrote the screenplay "Mr Bangladesh", a film about thwarting terrorists that hit cinemas on 2018. [6] [7]

It claims to be the first Bangladeshi film based entirely on football or any other sports. The story of Jaago is said to be inspired by the Shadhin Bangla football team, who raised funds during the Liberation War (1971) through charity matches and lifted the morale of the freedom fighters.

Mr. Bangladesh is a 2018 Bangladeshi action revenge thriller film directed by Abu Akhter Ul Iman and written by Khijir Hayat khan and Hasnat Piash. Khijir Hayat Khan produced the film under the banner of KHK Productions. The film was released on 16 November 2018.

Kamrul Alam Khan Khasru a Bangladeshi film actor and valiant freedom fighter who wins the Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement 2022. After the independence, he starred as a Freedom Fighter in the first Bangladeshi film on the Liberation War directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam titled, “Ora Egaro Jon”. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 14 November 2023 distributed the award to him for his invaluable contributions to the industry jointly with Rozina. He was a guerrilla commander of the Dhaka region during the Liberation War in 1971.
