He was a senator from 2003 to 2009, the attorney general of Pakistan from 2008 to 2009 and the Federal advisor of Information Technology & Telecommunication from 2009 to 2010. Khosa also remained a member of the Pakistan Bar Council and served as its Executive Committee's chairman. He co-authored an electoral fraud report with former prime minister Benazir Bhutto shortly before her assassination in December 2007. Khosa had been one of Bhutto's top aides.

Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan has been elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab for eight tenures in 1970, 1977, 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997 and 2008. He was also elected to the West Pakistan Assembly in 1962. Khosa also contested for a National Assembly of Pakistan in general election 2018 but lost to Amjad Farooq Khan.

Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was a Pakistani jurist who was the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan from 25 March to 5 June 2013. Khoso was a judge who previously served as the chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court and served as the caretaker prime minister ahead of the general elections scheduled in May 2013.
Sardar Muhammad Muqeem Khan Khoso was a Pakistani politician and the Chief Sardar of Khoso tribe. He was elected as a Member of National Assembly of Pakistan from his hometown constituency of NA-156 Jacobabad-I in 1988. He was also the Sindh provincial minister for fisheries in the 2007 caretaker government. At the time of his death on 17 April 2016, he was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from PS-14 (Jacobabad-II) on the ticket of Pakistan Peoples Party.[[
Mir Zahoor Hussain Khan Khoso was a Pakistani politician who was the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly from 31 May 1990 to 17 November 1990, as well as being leader of the Rind tribe. He also served as an MPA in Balochistan for PP26. He was affiliated with the Balochistan National Party, and a political rival of the former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

It is the oldest law institute in Pakistan which was established in 1868 (14 years before Punjab University itself).
