Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Investment Roadshow was an investment conference held in Burj Khalifa, Dubai arranged by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade held on February 25, 2015. [1] It brought together over 200 prominent foreign & local investors, diplomats and government officials to attract investment in the province. Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak oversaw the conference. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is one of the four administrative provinces of Pakistan, located in the northwestern region of the country along the international border with Afghanistan. It was previously known as the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) until 2010 when the name was changed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the 18th Amendment to Pakistan's Constitution, and is known colloquially by various other names. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the third-largest province of Pakistan by the size of both population and economy, though it is geographically the smallest of four. Within Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shares a border with Punjab, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad. It is home to 17.9% of Pakistan's total population, with the majority of the province's inhabitants being Pashtuns. The province is the site of the ancient kingdom Gandhara, including the ruins of its capital Pushkalavati near modern-day Charsadda. Originally a stronghold of Buddhism, the history of the region was characterized by frequent invasions under various Empires due to its geographical proximity to the Khyber Pass.

Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the provincial government of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Its powers and structure are set out in the provisions of the 1973 Constitution, in which 26 districts come under its authority and jurisdiction. The government includes the cabinet, selected from members the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, and the non-political civil staff within each department. The province is governed by a unicameral legislature with the head of government known as the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister, invariably the leader of a political party represented in the Assembly, selects members of the Cabinet. The Chief Minister and Cabinet are thus responsible the functioning of government and are entitled to remain in office so long as it maintains the confidence of the elected Assembly. The head of state of the province is known as the Governor, while the administrative boss of the province is Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

2018 Pakistani general election

General elections were held in Pakistan on Wednesday 25 July, after the completion of a five-year term by the outgoing government. At the national level, elections were held in 270 constituencies, each electing one member to the National Assembly. 2016 Pakistan Cup

The 2016 Pakistan Cup was a five-team one-day cricket tournament based on a draft system. It started on 19 April in Faisalabad and included teams from the country's four provinces and a Federal Capital side. Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali and Misbah-Ul-Haq led the sides from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the tournament after defeating Punjab in the final by 151 runs.

2013 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial election

Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkwa on 11 May 2013, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status.

Imran Khan was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan on 18 August 2018 at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. His cabinet consisted of sixteen ministers and five advisors. He kept portfolio of interior ministry to himself. In his celebration speech before swearing in and the inaugural speech after swearing-in he mentioned that he will build and run Pakistan on principles of first Islamic state of Medina.
