Kiana Kryeziu (born 11 November 2004) is a Kosovan alpine skier. [1] She competed in the 2022 Winter Olympics. [2]
Kryeziu began racing at the age of 10. After good results at FIS races at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022, she qualified to represent Kosovo at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She became the first female to represent Kosovo at the Winter Olympics. [3] She was the female flag bearer during the Opening Ceremony. She finished 49th out of 82 competitors in the women's giant slalom. [4]
Katharina Gutensohn. Is an Austrian/German skier. She represented Germany from 1989 to the end of her alpine skiing career.
The Olympic Committee of Kosovo is the National Olympic Committee representing Kosovo. Officially established in 1992, the OCK became a full member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Movement on 9 December 2014. It is responsible for Kosovo's participation at the Olympic Games.
Kosovo made its Olympic debut as a member state in 2016. Its team is organized by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo (OCK), created in 1992 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee on 9 December 2014. It won its first medal in its debut appearance in 2016, when judoka Majlinda Kelmendi took gold in the women's -52 kg category. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Nora Gjakova won gold in the women's judo -57 kg class, and Distria Krasniqi won gold in the women's judo -48 kg class.

Macarena María Simari Birkner is a female skier from Argentina. She has represented Argentina in 2002, 2006, 2010 and the 2014 Winter Olympics, in the Alpine skiing events. She also took part in the 2005 Alpine Skiing World Cup, where she came 20th in the Women's Combined, and in the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2009. She is the sister of fellow alpine skiers Cristian Simari Birkner and María Belén Simari Birkner. She was in a relationship with British former alpine skier Noel Baxter, with whom she has a child. Simari Birkner, has set an impressive record having completed all the five Alpine Ski events in both 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympic Games. She shares this record with pluri-medalist Tina Maze.
María Belén Simari Birkner is a female skier from Argentina. She has represented Argentina in both the 2006 and the 2010 Winter Olympics, in the Alpine skiing events. She also took part in the 2005 Alpine Skiing World Cup, where she came 28th in the women's combined, and in the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2009. She is the sister of fellow alpine skiers Cristian Simari Birkner and Macarena Simari Birkner.
Aanchal Thakur is an Indian female alpine skier. She represented India at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics that took place in Innsbruck. In the 2012 Youth Winter Olympics she took part in the Alpine skiing - Girl's Slalom and Girl's Giant Slalom events. Thakur became the first Indian skier to win a medal in an international skiing event in 2018.
Ieva Januškevičiūtė is a Lithuanian alpine skier and two-time Winter Olympian. She is the first Lithuanian woman to compete in the Winter Olympics in alpine skiing. She is currently the head coach of the "Snow Bees" ski club and a personal trainer based in Vilnius.
