The Kim Suyeong Literary Award is a literary award established in 1981 by Minumsa in honor of the South Korean poet Kim Su-yeong. [1]

1987: When the Day Comes is a 2017 South Korean political thriller film directed by Jang Joon-hwan and written by Kim Kyung-chan. The film stars Kim Yoon-seok, Ha Jung-woo, Yoo Hae-jin, Kim Tae-ri, Park Hee-soon and Lee Hee-joon. Set in 1987 and based on a true story, the film focuses on the events that led up to the June Democratic Uprising in Korea, triggered by the death of a student protester during police interrogation which the authorities conspire to cover up. Jang has compared the overall structure of the film to a relay race, with the focus of the story shifting between several characters to convey the collective effort of the political resistance. The film was released in theaters on December 27, 2017.

Jeong Jiyong Literature Prize is a literary award established in 1989 for poet and poetry ' to commemorate the literary achievements of Jeong Jiyong. It selects the best poem of the year written by poets of medium standing. It awards the best poem based on how excellent and how easy to recite the poem is.

Midang Literary Award is established in June 2001 by the JoongAng Ilbo to honor the literary achievements of Seo Jeong-ju.. In 2001, it was established with the Hwang Soon-won Literature Award in the novel section. The prize money is 30 million won.

The 2020 South Korean Figure Skating Championships were held from January 3–5, 2020 at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink in Uijeongbu. It was the 74th edition of the event. The results were part of the Korean selection criteria for the 2020 World Junior Championships and the 2020 World Championships.

The Lee Hochul Literary Prize for Peace is an international literary award which takes place in South Korea annually in order to recognize the power of literature to promote peace. There are two awards: the main Lee Hochul Literary Prize for Peace, and a Special Award which is given to an young and upcoming Korean writer. The main prize winner receives a monetary sum of 50 million won, while the Special Award winner receives 20 million won.
