Kim Wilson is a Bermudian politician and lawyer,who is Minister of Health for the Government of Bermuda. Elected to parliament in 2012,Wilson has held several ministries,as a member of the Progressive Labour Party.
Wilson studied for a BSc in Psychology at the University of Illinois. She then moved to further study,first at Indiana University for a M.Ed in Counselling,followed by an LLB (Hons) from the School of Oriental and African Studies. [1] She was called to the Bermuda Bar in 1995. [2] Her political career began in October 2006 when she was appointed as a Government Senator in the Upper House and as Junior Minister of Finance and Education. She was subsequently appointed Attorney-General and Minister of Justice in December 2007. [3]
In 2010 she was the first person to be appointed Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry. In 2011 she returned to the roles of Attorney-General and Minister of Justice,and also became Senate Leader. [3] She was elected to parliament in December 2012,representing the Progressive Labour Party in the constituency of Sandys South Central. [2] During time as Minister for Health,Wilson was responsible for the territory's response to the COVID-19 pandemic,acting with "an abundance of caution". [4] [5]

The Progressive Labour Party (PLP) is one of the three political parties in Bermuda. At the 18 July 2017 general election,the party won 24 of the 36 seats in the Bermudian House of Assembly to become the governing party. The party was founded in 1963,the first political party in Bermuda,and the oldest still active. It formed government from 1998 to 2012,and again since 2017.
Dame Lois Marie Browne-Evans DBE JP was a lawyer and political figure in Bermuda. She led the Progressive Labour Party (PLP) in opposition before being appointed Bermuda's first female Attorney-General. She first gained recognition in 1953 as Bermuda's first female barrister. Browne-Evans died of a suspected stroke on 29 May 2007,at age 79.
Paula Ann Cox CBE is a Bermudian politician and former premier of Bermuda. She has been the leader of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party (PLP),since 28 October 2010. In accordance with the Bermuda Constitution Order 1968,she was appointed Premier of Bermuda,on Friday,29 October 2010 by Governor Sir Richard Gozney. She was succeeded as Premier by Craig Cannonier on 18 December 2012,when she led her party into election defeat,losing her own seat in the process.
Cyril "C." Eugene Cox was a Bermudian politician. He served as a Bermuda Progressive Labour Party (PLP) MP from Sandys North,as Minister of Finance,and as Deputy Premier. He was the father of Paula Cox,Jeremy Cox,and Robert Cox. Cox first won a seat in Parliament between 1976 and 1980 in Sandys North. Cox was elected Deputy Leader in 1996,and Minister of Finance on 10 November 1998.

Ralph Owen Marshall,CBE,was a Bermudian politician,architect,and civil engineer who served as the MP for the Southampton West constituency from 1963 to 1993. Marshall was one of the first members of the United Bermuda Party (UBP) to serve in the Parliament of Bermuda. He was also the first MP of Portuguese descent,as well as the first Bermudian of Portuguese descent to establish a career on Bermuda. In 1972,Marshall became the first Portuguese-Bermudian Cabinet Minister. He was later appointed the first Portuguese-Bermudian Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1992.
Michael Henry Dunkley,JP,MP is a Bermudian politician and businessman who served as the 12th Premier of Bermuda from 2014 to 2017. He was an MP and member general of the One Bermuda Alliance political party and an active businessman on the island.

Established in 1698,the Attorney-General's Chambers of Bermuda is the main legal advisor to the federal government and makes laws accessible to the public. From 1698-1999,the Attorney-General was also the main prosecutor in all criminal matters that pertained to the Bermuda courts. Attorneys-General are appointed by the Governor per the Constitution. All were public officers until 1999 when Lois Browne-Evans was appointed as the island's first political Attorney-General through election. Due to Bermuda's decision to have a political Attorney-General,the Director of Public Prosecutions now handles all criminal matters. Even though there are now two distinct offices,the Attorney-General is also considered Bermuda's Minister of Legal Affairs.
