College Hockey America (CHA) is a college ice hockey conference in the United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The conference is made up of six women's teams, with three in Pennsylvania; two in New York, and one in Missouri.
Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private university in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1921 and is named after Robert Morris, known as the "financier of the American revolution." It enrolls nearly 5,000 students and offers 60 bachelor's degree programs and 35 master's and doctoral programs. Most students are from the Pittsburgh area, while 16 percent of freshmen in 2018 were from outside Pennsylvania.
Derek Schooley is an American ice hockey head coach and former player. Since 2004 he has been the head coach for Robert Morris, with his tenure interrupted during the program's 2021-23 disbandment.
The Robert Morris Colonials are the athletic teams for Robert Morris University, in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The Colonials compete in NCAA Division I. In 2020, the school joined the Horizon League as a full member after leaving the Northeast Conference. Several RMU sports that are not sponsored by the Horizon League play in other conferences. Football plays in the Big South Conference, and men's and women's lacrosse respectively compete in the ASUN Conference and Mid-American Conference. The school colors are RMU Blue, RMU Red, and RMU Gray/Silver.
The Robert Morris Colonials men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Robert Morris University. The team played its home games at the Clearview Arena, located at the RMU Island Sports Center in Neville Township, Pennsylvania, United States. The Colonials were a member of the Atlantic Hockey Conference. Until the 2009–10 season, the Colonials were a member of College Hockey America.
The Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey program represents Robert Morris University. The Colonials competed in the College Hockey America conference. The program was suspended, along with the Men's team, after an announcement by the university on May 26, 2021. On December 17, 2021, it was announced both programs were going to be reinstated for the 2023-24 season.
Nathan Thomas Longpre is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for SønderjyskE Ishockey in the Metal Ligaen. He has previously played in the American Hockey League for the Worcester Sharks, Chicago Wolves, Springfield Falcons and the Peoria Rivermen.

The 2016–17 Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey season was the twelfth season of the Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey program. The team represented Robert Morris University in the College Hockey America (CHA) conference during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The 2016–17 Colonials were the CHA regular season champions for first time in program history and won the CHA Tournament for the second time. They also appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the first time, falling to Wisconsin in the opening round.
Brittany Howard is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for PWHL Toronto of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She played college ice hockey at Robert Morris and was the first Colonial player to win the CHA Player of the Year award.

Katie Guay is an American ice hockey official, currently serving as a referee in the National Hockey League (NHL) and American Hockey League (AHL). A retired ice hockey forward, Guay played college ice hockey with the Brown Bears during 2001 to 2005 and was team captain for the 2004–05 season.
Kelly Cooke is an American ice hockey official, currently serving as a referee in the American Hockey League (AHL). A retired ice hockey forward, she played with the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons, and with the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation during the 2015–16 season. Her college ice hockey career was spent with the Princeton Tigers in the ECAC Hockey conference of the NCAA Division 1.
Kendall Hanley is an American ice hockey official, currently serving as a linesman in the American Hockey League (AHL). She was the recipient of USA Hockey’s 2020–21 Ben Allison Award in recognition of her dedication on the ice and representation of USA Hockey in the finest manner, as voted by the 150 members of the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program. Hanley has officiated international tournaments hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and USA Hockey, and for the National Hockey League (NHL), the Premier Hockey Federation, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), and a number of other leagues in North America.
The Robert Morris Colonials women represent Robert Morris University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2020-21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season, the 16th overall in program history. Qualifying for the 2021 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, the program ranked as the #8 seed.
The 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 2, 2021, and concluded with the NCAA championship on April 9, 2022. This was the 74th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and was US college hockey's 128th year overall.
